Too crowded

This cooktop was part of a package when we purchased our new condo. I spent 10 years in sales of kitchen appliances and normally have good things to say about GE gas cooking appliances. This top at 30" is a little too crowded and only one burner able to handle a large pot/pan. I'd rather have 4 burners with two of them able to boil a large pot of water. Quality is good though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The cook top is as nice looking installed as it appeared online. The power burner really brings the heat.

Since when is a cooktop sexy? This one is!

We built a custom home and could not get the Profile cooktop that we originally specified, and they suggested this one. Okay, I think I'll like a fifth burner. So when I finally got the conversion kit to propane, I fired this baby up. It resembles the space shuttle on takeoff! Awesome fifth burner for large pots of noodles! I can't wait to try the griddle accessories!

Grates are too far from burner causing inefficient

I didn't read reviews before purchase, however we noticed grates are too high above the burner hence causing inefficient cooking. I hope GE would provide alternate less height grates.

Only center burner boils!

I have had this cooktop for 18 months. The only burner that has any power is the center burner! When I cook on the front two larger burners I almost always have the knob set to high to get anything done. I very seldom use the back ones, just not very useful except to simmer. I'm considering looking for a more "useful" cooktop. Very disappointed considering what this one cost!

burner grates too high

we could not look at the cook top prior to the purchase, as this was a builder option. I have seen other customers complaining about the height of the burner grates and how it takes a long time for cooking.
I have been using this cooktop for the past 3 years, and it is true, the only burner where you can really cook is the middle one, other burners are only useless, as the pot sits very high above the flame.
I love the cooktop, except for this issue, I am seriously considering changing to another brand with lower grate position.

Cooking top

The GECooke top was installed by the builder and it is very bad . Only the center one is good , all the side one are waste and the flames from the side doesn't work properly
