Great stovetop!

I love this stovetop. I went out of my way to get a gas cooktop and have always loved GE products. I've read a lot of reviews and some people said that the knobs are only made of a composite. They are NOT metal, even though they look it. Time will tell if those break down. I've only been using the stove for a few months, but I haven't had any problems at all. It has 5 burners, one of which is a power burner - great to boil large pots of water quickly. I'd recommend this to anyone who like to cook and cook with gas.

I read reviews on this cooktop, but decided to get it because I liked all the features and really enjoy the griddle for it. And I have not noticed any problem with the cooking of anything. I love the rapid boil on it. Good quality and great looking.

Beautiful Gas Cooktop

We love cooking with this beautiful gas cooktop. Controls are very functional, and it is impressive. One challenge is how to clean it effectively. On the top, it is easy to have oil splatter that can leave brown spots on the surface after cooking. Often, recommended soap and water is not effective in removing the residue, and the Cerama Bryte stainless steel cleaner does not remove either. It is quite frustrating to find a grease remover that will not discolor the surface.

Very Impressive Product line of GE. Recently purchased works well and great safety lock feature with buzzer so kids cant mess around with the gas at all. Wife in love with the cook-top! Happy cooking n Meals sailing!!!

Love the blue glow the knobs have when on, it's a great reminder to turn them off when done cooking. The grills and stainless steel finish are so easy to keep clean. Everything is removable for a thorough wipe down & dishwasher safe. I also love the look and style compared to the other choices I had. The 5th burner in the center is such a wonderful addition for bringing larger pots to a boil quickly.
Note: The lock knob (which locks all the other knobs from turning on) is a great feature if there are smaller children in the household. After about 2 months of having this cooktop, someone turned this knob the wrong way & broke it. I called the store where I purchased, and they quickly ordered and sent me a replacement from GE, along with a FULL SET OF KNOBS FOR THE ENTIRE COOKTOP! I thought this was great customer service from both the store and GE!

We absolutely love this cooktop. This replaced an older, builder's grade GE cooktop and the difference is night and day for the better. Excellent heat control and the center power burner is incredible. Also, some reviews note the height of the cast iron cooking grates as too high, we respectfully disagree, the grates are just right. One note, this was slightly smaller than the prior 30 inch GE cooktop, mainly at the corners where this one is rounded and the prior cooktop was square. We solved this by going to Lowe's and buying a trim bezel kit designed for this very purpose. The kit is offered by GE. Overall, we love this cooktop and would definitely buy again!!!
