I've had my platinum for over a year and have had absolutely no problems with it. On the contrary, it has been spectacular! It has even endured moving (three times!) and college life/students. I always have delicious coffee/tea (flavored, bold, iced, hot) in seconds at any time of the day. I really don't know what I'd do without it!
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Durable, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Have owned it 1 month. Brew 2-3 cups per day. Just installed the water filter, even though we only use bottled water. No problems so far.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Fast, Easy to use

This brewer is great if it works. I am on my third warranty replacement brewer. They last about 10 months and then they just quit brewing. I've followed all the instructions: don't use hot chocolate, descale every 3 months, use filtered water, use their filter, don't use my own coffee (only use prepackaged k-cups). It does not matter what you do, it will quit working after about 10 months. You'd think after having to replace so many they'd figure out what will make a machine last. VERY frustrated customer!!!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The brewer started off great but after a short period of time it would only brew about a half cup on the highest setting and would immediately shut off. Now, when powered up, it stays on for about 30 seconds and shuts off..without brewing. Although I love the convenience of this brewer, I cannot afford to take the chance of buying another one. This one lasted less than one year...very disappointing.

I purchased the first unit little more than a year ago. And I'm now on my third machine. The Platinum unit does not last. I may use the machine to brew 3 to 4 times per day. And only Mon. - Fri. (Sits in my office). So I've been able to brew on average less than 500 cups before machine failure. Long story short, pick a different machine.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Units keep breaking, Always some problem, Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the 3rd coffeemaker I got. The first 2 were noisy and broke. This one worked for one and half years until for no reason the pump broke. It says brewing in the window but it wasnt. It was de-scaled as required but still broke. Did you know that instead of waiting to get a replacement in the mail you can take it to any Bed Bath and Beyond store and they will replace it for you on the spot! No dealing with Keurig. I didnt have receipt or box..just carried it inside the store and they said just take one off the shelf. They have some kind of agreement with Keurig to do that. Nice,easy and fast! I got the same kind of Keurig and they have lots of k cups to chosse from as well so you can shop while you make an even exchange!
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Quiet easy to use, Fast, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pump broke after 15 yrs, HARD TO CLEAN

OK while it lasts

Like many others, my Platinum brewer began shorting cups then would hear the pump but no water movement. I found that if I lift and replace the water container the pump'll kick in. I can hear the tone of the pump change when it starts pulling water. Have descdaled, followed all suggestions. This is the third unit with the same issues. Keurig seems to have MAJOR engineering problems-most of these fatalities to the brewer sound remarkably similar and are related to water pumping. Don't know how they can make a profit on the brewers as they keep needing replacement. PLEASE address this, Keurig. Love the coffee, though.

Three cups made each day. Only filtered water used. On our fourth brewer. Pump quits working after only a few months. Keurig has sent us new brewers without question. However, when we determine we are no longer interested in taking the Keurig journey (replacing them over and over) we find that they do not issue refunds if you haven't purchased from their website. They recommend I return it to the store where I purchased it. Problem - I no longer have the actual brewer I purchased from this retailer. At the end of the day, between brewer and KCups, the coffee we consume has cost over $100 per month. Research well. Loved the brewer out of the box. Fell out of love a few months later. Over the rollercoaster relationship.
Cons: Poor Quality, Short Life, Pricey / Poor Value
