Always had problems with it, it stopped working for good about 6 months after the warrenty ran out.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile

Convienent but junky

This machine is very convenient. Every morning I need a cup of coffee as soon as I get up and it was great not having to fumble around with a regular coffee maker. My husband and I also like different strengths of coffee so this worked nicely. The first problem is they only work for 1 to 2 years and then they go in the garbage which aggravates me on two levels: 1) I will not replace an expensive cofee maker that frequently. 2) I know one other person who owns one of these machines and between the two of us we have thrown away 4 machines in two years, although one of them was replaced by the manufacturer for free, I am offended by how much electronic waste that one company will create in order to keep selling their sub-par machine. They claim they are socially resposible by attempting to make recyclable K-cups, but I would like to know how many of these machines are in the trash. The second problem is that the coffee is watery and weak and just generally not very good. I will be buying a french press and a water kettle for $40 today that will probably last for forty years....

Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Not durable, Pricey / Poor Value

Worked great up until now

I really love my Keurig. I have owned my Platinum for about 16 months and it has stopped working. I cleaned the machine and descaled it and it worked for a month and stopped working. I turned the machine on and off, unplugged, re-plugged, anything to get it working, but nothing. For the price...you would think the machine would last longer than 16 months. Going back to making pots of coffee...which has lasted me over 5 years and more than half the price of the Keurig.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy

Half cup - Water back into reservoir

Used it everyday. Liked it when it was working. 13 months and it started to brew short cups. Water started to back into the reservoir. HUGE problem all over the internet. Design flaw. I will call Keurig support in hopes of remedy.

Quick, Easy and Great Customer Service

We love this machine. It's quick and easy and clean for that morning coffee on your way out to work. My husband likes a taller travel mug of coffee each morning but a cup or two on the weekends. And I use the smallest size to warm up a bottle of milk for the baby. This gives us the size options we need even though I do wish the largest size streamed a bit more water then it does. It is not much more then the one size down. However, the machine worked great until 6 months in when it would occassioally started holding the water in the machine and not draining it out into our cup or pushing it back in to the reservoir. So it would just keep storing water in the machine until we could finally get it to work and then we would have all the water come draining out. We had recently moved to an area where the water was very hard so we chaulked it up to that and started descaling it reguraly and using a filter. It didnt seem to help much. Maybe it had nothing to do with that and it was a faulty part or maybe we started maintaining it too late. Since the whole back of the machine is unaccessible to get to or at least not seen to be an easy task it was hard to know what the problem was. Either way we called Keurig and without any hesitation they sent us a brand new one within 5 days. We just needed to send the k-cup holder of the old one back. They were really great about it which eased my frustrations of paying so much for a machine that only worked right for a short period of time. Plus our new one came with a much larger water reservoir! We plan to use the water filter from day one in this new one and descale it monthly. Hopefully we dont have the same problem again. If you have a problem it never hurt to give the company a call. They have been really great to work with. I have also heard from friends that they will extend a discount or offer to you if your warranty is out and you have troubles in order to keep your business.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Fast, Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Convenient coffee but lacks durability

Our Platinum brewer has quit working after 20 months of 3-6 cups/day use. But, at [$] I expected it to last much longer. We always used filtered water and descaled every other month. But we had to descale almost weekly over the past 3-4 months (started receiving descale message on display about 3-4 months ago). We had never received the descale message prior to that because we always descaled every other month as was suggested by friends who influenced our decision to buy this brewer. The single cup concept is great for a family like ours that has 2 coffee drinkers and frequently visiting family members who all prefer different varieties of coffee. It brews coffee quickly and is very easy to use. It's nice having a large variety of K-cup flavors to choose from. Having read other reviews it seems the life cycle is about 15-24 months. Its a great buy if you are okay with paying the price for 1 1/2 to 2 years of use before having to replace it. We decided it was not a good value for us and will not be replacing our brewer.

Cons: Fragile, High Maintenance, Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

lasted only a year and half

quit working after only 1 1/2 years. Since we travel at least 4 months out of the year, it did not last long at all. Not sure we can afford to purchase another one. I would recommend it with the warning of a short life expectancy.

Too Much $$$$

I really enjoyed having this brewer. It was a time saver in the morning on my way to work. But like all the other reviews, it failed in less than 2 years. Since the warranty is only for one year The Keurig rep told me they would replace it for $79. Again, that's too much money for someting that's going to fail in a year or less. I'm going back to Gevalia.
