2nd System Same Problem

Unfortunately, I have now returned TWO of the Platinum systems back to the store where I bought them due to problems with the machine NOT feeding water into the heating resevoir to heat AND the machine constantly shutting itself off. I am too frustrated to get another and will go back to the old simpler version.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Doesn't feed water in

Two days.....

Bought a Special Edition that lasted 3 days. Brought it back to the store where I was told that at least 2/3 of them were being brought back. Replaced it with a Platinum which lasted 2 days. I think I would give up totally but I've sunk over $100 into K-Cups and accessories so am still trying to decide what to do now. If the recent models are having pump issues they should have been pulled off the market :(

Dying after six months =:(

Bought as a Thanksgiving gift for my mom's house. Between the 4 people that live there, they drink about 8-10 cups a day between coffee and tea reason why I got them the unit. It is the BEST as it was easy and not messy to use - BUT - now it's dying out. They clean 2-3 times a month with the white vinegar process as recommended but two weeks ago, it stopped dripping the right amount of water and makes a horrible choking & gurgling sound. I got them the Platinum Unit base on the amount of coffee/tea they drink. With that said, I still love the unit JUST WISH I can get it fix as I am not sure I am willing to pay the high price again to last for just another 6 months.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Quite, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Costly, K-Cups are Expensive, HARD TO CLEAN

Great but unreliable

I have had two of these units. The first had a defective pump which Keurig replaced and now the replacement will not move the water through the heating element. Not sure if it is the pump again or not, but I am very disappointed. We actually have a water distiller in the house (came with it when we bought the house) so I know it is not a water hardness issue.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile

all Keurig brewers fail!

ALL of their brewers fail. PERIOD. I have had 4 brewers fail. One was just short of 1 year so it was under warranty. Other 3 failed just beyond the 1 year warranty mark. These are junk, plain and simple. [$], they should last for 10 -15 years. My entire office was given a Keurig(B-50 model back then) as a gift. EVERY brewer failed. That's 15 brewers folks. I have had a B-40, B-50, B-60, now a B-70. ALL have failed, and every one was within 2 years. Believe me, Keurig is well aware that they have a problem, yet they still put these out to the public. Why do you think they have a 1 year warranty and they all fail after 1 year?? Bingo, so you'll have to purchase another one from them.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile

Here We Go, Again!

I've just received my third brewer. My first lasted about 11 months. My second started giving me trouble in about 6 months. Customer service tries to be helpful, and they've never hesitated to replace the defective brewers; but I'm tired of all the descaling, tests, phone calls, etc. It's a great product when it works, but if the third time isn't the charm...I won't bother to request a replacement. I'll give away my K-cups and be in the market for something new that is more reliable.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Problem Prone

Review of brewer AND Keurig as a company

This review is as much about Keurig as a company if not more so than the machine. I have/had a keurig platinum series brewer which i have been using religiously since i purchased it aprox. 12 months ago. Yesterday the machine proceeded to stop working properly which prompted a call to the keurig number listed in the trouble shooting section of the manual. I spoke to an intake rep. who took down the necessary info and then transferred me to a support tech (Chris). We reviewed the brewers apparent issues, he guided me through some trouble shooting fixes (fairly quick process) and upon completion he determined my brewer to be "defective" He promptly issued the shipment of a new updated brewer and 2 boxes of K cups for my trouble and replacement of the several i lost while trying to get the unit to brew, which was more like 6 K cups and not 2 boxes. I am EXTREMELY impressed with the service i received and Keurigs efforts to strive to take care of me as a customer. I love/loved my platinum brewer and hold out high hopes for my new unit, but will take great comfort in knowing if i should encounter any troubles Kueirg will see to it that they are resolved. Thanks so much to the rep. Chris i had the pleasure of dealing with on the phone, and thank you Keurig. It is nice to see that a company will work to see that its customers are happy and properly taken care of as that doesn't seem to happen much any more. Just a quick note about the stars i gave the unit in my review, when the machine functioned properly it was perfect, but given the fact that it malfunctioned (and they are some what expensive so one would hope they would not encounter such problems) i tried to be fair in my review of the unit. But again, when it was working properly the unit is/was a dream and i don't expect to have any problems with the new unit. These flukes do happen from time to time.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Unit malfunctioned

We have been using our Keurig everyday for over a year. This past October/November it started acting funny. Not filling cups, drawing water but no output, back flowing into the reservoir, etc. Sometimes it even turned itself off. It was driving me crazy. I thought the warranty was up so I kept running vinegar through it and hoping one day it would just fix itself. Now it's mid-Febraury and I was finally fed up enough to call customer service to see if someone could come service it out or something. They asked me how it was running and told me they were marking it defective and would be sending me out a new one. A completely free replacement! So unexpected! They also told me they would upgrade to a platinum model but that is the one we already have. I am so ecstatic to finally be able to enjoy my Keurig again. I wish I hadn't waited so long to call. Customer service is wonderful!
