Simple to use, very convenient

I drink a lot of coffee and used to go to Starbucks multiple times a day. Having the Keurig makes brewing a cup of coffee simple and it's so fast. I now recommend it to everyone and even boast about how great it is and the money I save.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Stylish

Doesn't hold up

My first Keurig platinum only lasted about 11 months and the pump broke. Tried everything to fix it, and customer service helped send a replacement (they are AWESOME!). My second one only lasted about 18 months, and then had the same problem. The pump seems to go out and it just will not work!! This time we opted for a cheaper model, because if we have to replace this routinely, then why waste money on the more expensive model. I certainly will not even consider the VUE until I know it will last longer than a year!
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Bad Pump, Pricey / Poor Value, Doesn't last long

Won't Last Years

This product was bought to enable my wife to drink a regular cup of coffee while I had decaf. It is used every day, a great idea and product - if it keeps working. This is the 2nd brewer we have gone through in less than three years. First one had problems with drawing water from the resevoir and was thankefully replace. Now the replacement brewer is not working. It will not send the hot water through - will not brew. No motors running etc Have called customer service and asked to clean the needles - did not agree with the process but I did, and I still have a non-working brewer.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Individual coffee choice, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Not well built

Spent [$] for 1.5 year product

I never had a problem with my Kurig Platinum until one morning it just stopped working. It lasted 1.5 years and quit working just outside the warranty. When I called Kurig they offered me a new one at [$]. Great discount but why would I want to invest another [$] into something that cost me [$] and only lasted a year and a half... Also, they could offer NO explanation as to what happened. No explanation what so ever and the customer service agent caught an attitude with me when I asked what might have caused this and if there was anything else they could do with the price. Disappointed. Poor product representation.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Love it so far!

Have owned/used unit for 1 month now. We love it! Bought it to use in our RV during trips but now have it on the counter in our home for everyday use. Was disappointed to see the reviews though from long time users. We have a water distiller in our home so that is the only water we use in the unit. I hope this will prevent the water "scaling issue" that I read about in the other reviews.
Pros: Fast, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use

Always in Prime Mode

I love the concept and the coffee is good. However, this is my second brewer that after three months, has to be cleaned out after every cup because it goes into the "Prime" mode. I use their recommended filter and use only bottled water. If you have to remove the tank and rince it out after every use, I might as well go back to Mr. Coffee!

Cons: Constant Prime Alert

BUT 5 STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

We have purchased 3 of the Platinum Keurigs for various locations and another one for our daughter as a Chritmas gift. So, 4 in total. While we absolutely love the idea of this product, we have had the same misfortune as many other reviewers with 1 of ours breaking down in just over a year. Although this product needs much improvement on durability, I must say that customer service has been excellent in replacing one of our three coffee makers, which just stopped brewing, as well as our daughters, which did the same thing. They were extremely accomodating and very quick to respond with a new one for free. They replaced my daughter's too. 2 Stars for the product because it lacks durability and 5 stars for customer service. If they can correct the break downs, they will have a great product! As you know most coffee makers last for 10 or more years at a much lower price point. Besides, you have to be making a lot of money on the K-cups alone!! But thank you for the new one at no charge.

Love how fast this is, how easy it is to fill and the 5 cup sizes (although the 6 & 8oz would be enough for us). Also have the Mr. Coffee Keurig brewer. Leaving it at our lake house. Liked it but LOVE this one!
