I hope the one we bought is trouble free

So far so good, we have had our machine about 3 weeks now. Its such a time saver, and makes having coffee or tea a pleasure. Everyone can have what they want when they want it. I'm a little concerned about the problems I have read that people have had with this machine, we replaced a drip coffee maker that we had for over 10 years, that still worked as good as the day we got it, for the KEURIG Platinum so I hope that ours is trouble free, and provides the same long term service.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish

This is so easy to use and so so much quieter then the older Elite I was using

Too fragile for the price

By the time the de-scale message appears in the display, the brewer is toast! Make the heating element removable, or do something to simplify maintenance. Filtered water out of the dispenser in the refrigerator is not pure enough. I hate vinager flavored coffee. would never buy another one! ay least the concept is cool.
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, HARD TO CLEAN, Fragile, Complicated

If you love coffee..............

We drink coffee everyday and looked forward to receiving it. It worked great for 6 months before the pump went out of it. The store exchanged it and we went another 6 months until the water would "pool" in the K-cup and not fill the coffee mug up, or it would fill it up halfway. We once again exchanged it, and if it happens again, I'm throwing it out the window!!! Right now I think it's a hunk of junk.
Pros: Makes Good Coffee, Fresh every time
Cons: On my third one in a year, Not Reliable

Love this machine!!!

I didn't think this type of coffee maker was very useful, since I make a pot of coffe every morning, however, since I got my Keurig as a gift, I absolutely love it. It's a great cup of coffee every time, and I love the fact that I can make one cup quickly and easily. My kids love the hot chocolate, and it is great when someone needs decaf instead of regular coffee. I very rarely drink decaf, so I don't normally keep it in the house. Now, I have decaf kcups and everyone can have what they want. I am very pleased.

I think I have found a replacement for my old Cuisinart (which, incidentally, I loved, too). But, the cleanliness of this type of machine and the ease of use far surpasses my older style 10-cup machine. Not to mention the fact that I happen to be a flavored coffee drinker. Not everyone is a fan of flavored coffee. So, when I have company, I always have to make sure I have some "plain" coffee brewed for the masses (which I'll never drink because I don't like it). That's now a thing of the past. I'll just make sure to have a variety of K-cups on hand so everyone can be happy with their own choice. :) The Keurig is the best invention ever. ...And I'm glad I chose the Platinum model. I like the choice of 5 sizes. It allows me to fill my favorite mug with only one K-cup (travel-mug size). I'm now a firm believer in the Keurig.

Three year love affair

I loved the ease of using this coffee maker. I like being able to switch from coffee to tea effortlessly. BUT it only lasted three years before it would no longer heat the water, and as I was the only user I found this very disappointing. I used only filtered water and de-scaled it three to four times a year. I did convince several friends to purchase the same coffee maker and I have a mini coffee maker in my office. I hope these last longer than mine. But I will no longer recommend it to friends.Keurig customer service and their tech working with me to see what can be done regarding the "death" of the coffee maker. I will comment on this once it has been taken care of.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Died after three years
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
