Worked perfect right out of the box

This unit was a replacement due to a glitch in the circuitry of the previous model This is the best model yet. Great for brewing a hot cup of cocoa just before going to bed. You can even vary the temperature of the water as well. This unit seems quieter than other models. What would be nice if there was a way ti incorporate an auto-fill water system to a 1/4" line to the unit. That would be great. Any starbucks coffee's in Keurigs future? [...]

this machine is wonderful. Works well whisper quiet , great interface( not too complicated but with enough options) Brews delicious coffee..... What more could you want.....

This brewer is great. I ran into the pump problem that a few Platinums had. Once the problem was corrected/reengineered, [...] The new units work perfectly.

Fragile? Errr, what?

I just posted a review so that I could speak to some of the comments here. Now maybe something's gone wrong with the manufacturing of this model since I bought it over a year ago. All I know is that what some people are saying just isn't true. Fragility: This I don't even understand. Here's my story: When moving to my new place, the Keurig was accidentally dropped for the first time onto the concrete outside. Due to the weight balance it landed on the right rear bottom corner from a fall of about 5 feet. Aside from a crack on that corner, the machine is still working with no issues whatsoever. This impressed me more than I can express here. Cleaning: I think I've done a full descale once since I've owned it. Once. Needle's only clogged up once. I think it has more to do with how you use it than the device itself; the only times I had even remote issues here was when I tried to use the My KCup (a horrible system, BTW). Other than that, nothing. But then I only use purified water, not tap water. No...the only negative I would have about this device is its use of water. It doesn't quite make sense. Hard to describe but...if you fill the reservoir to the brim, then brew a cup, it pulls water in. That's fine. But then when it's done with the cup, it pulls more water in even if you're not brewing another cup. I assume this is to prep for another cup, but if you turn the device off for that day and come back another day, it's sucking more water in. What happened to the other water? That's about my only complaint, because it lessens the amount of cups I could be brewing. Other than that it's a solid device, and I have recommended it to many people.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Water pump issues

Great looks, but the water pump failed and unit stopped working, [...]...second unit lasted a month and ....water pump failed. I am going to replace it with a different model. [...] will switch models for me. Too much drama with this unit.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Mechanical failure

My wife and I drink 2 cups of coffee each,every morning.However, this must be to much of a workload for this machine. Just after the warranty ran out the pot quit working. For that kind of money I expect more than that

Im on my 3rd machine and have got no response from the company in reference to the defective pump in these machines. My last machine pump went out after 3 days

VERY UNRELIABLE UNIT. WE ARE ON THE SECOND UNIT EACH ONE MADE IT LESS THAN A YEAR,SAME ISSUES,iT DOES NOT FILL A CUP,DISPENSES WATER FOR ABOUT 1 SECOND OR COMPLETLY QUITS DISPENSING ANY WATER.
