[...] machine will be replaced under warranty.brewer began to 'get out of step' on occasion. brewer began to produce odd noises while extracting water from external tank to internal tank. brewer then stopped working all together.i shall give the replacement brewer a go, if it also fails i will explore other brands of single cup brewers.

Known Keurig Issues STILL Unaddressed
on March 27, 2010

Awful! Awful! AWFUL! I'm so disappointed in my Keurig service STILL. I had a select model that had problems with just shutting off when it attempted to brew (they admitted this is a known problem for a whole series of serial numbers). After a couple bad customer service experiences they finally contacted me and offered a replacement for the platinum model. What they do not mention is that it is a Refurb and STILL NOT FIXED! I received my replacement one 2 weeks later and it brewed the first cup of water and then never brewed again. After calling we went through every possible solution the motor will not make any sound, it is definitely broken. So I am still coffee-less (After investing lots of money into kcups. This time they apologized and said they would send another refurb but this time I had to pay to send back a part of the machine in a padded envelope. There is no way that I should have to go out and find this padded envelope and mail at my expense for their problem. All I want is a unit that works and I'm on number 3. This is like the Toyota of brewers, never admits there's a problem, and even when they try to fix their faulty products there's still no guarantee it'll actually work. i
Cons: Replacements are refurbs, Breaks, Pay to send back parts

Great Buy!

I use this machine every day. I have been very pleased with the quiet heating up, brewing and the easy, programmable options. The machine I had before was very loud when warming the water and brewing - was afraid of waking the family. With this machine, no more worries - or noise! The only issue I find is the difference in taste between a traditional coffee maker (using your own coffee) and the "My K-Cup." The flavors are less prominent than when used with other brewers (including pod brewers). If you require a richer, bolder taste, you will want to go for dark roasted coffees for use with the My K-Cup.Great value for the money. [...]
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: None-yet

This is our second Keurig system. We upgraded to the B70 from our original 2004 model just this month after 6 years with the first one! We absolutely love it - we love the whole system! We have purchased several systems for family and friends over the years, and they all love them, too. And, it's a HUGE money saver, too! No more putrid, burnt, expensive coffee and chain establishments! I just wish the reservior was bigger!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Durable
Cons: Reservior too small

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

So far, so good

I received my Keurig from my boys for Christmas. Everyone in my family uses it several times a day for hot coffee, ice coffee, tea, hot chocolate, you name it. My husband and I both like to try new types of coffee and flavors. I'm surprised to hear that so many people are having problems with their machines. Mine (knock on wood) has been working just fine and believe me we use it non-stop. The only thing is that it is hard to clean and I wish the ice coffee option could be done in the various sizes. Otherwise, the coffee is always hot and fresh.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Durable
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Works as advertised

I presently use the coffee maker every day. We either use the Keurig or a press pot. It turns itself on in the morning and off afterward so it is ready when we are in the morning. I have enjoyed trying different blends of coffee and I have started to narrow down my likes and dislikes. This is the second Keurig I have purchased the first one is at work giving many cups a day and the one at home is fancier and therefor better looking. The only downside so far is the KL-cups that are for larger cups or mugs sof coffee. I have had issues with water getting through them. Not sure why yet but will continue to monitor. This may be a K-cup design error or a Keurig disign error. If I use the standard Keurig cups there is no issue with the larger cup of coffee.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Durable
Cons: Why did it do that

Replacement

We had purchased the machine at [...] in August of last year and here it is May and we need another. I called Keurig (on a Sunday) and the were trying to help me to "De-Scale" the machine. After several times it just was not working! They will be sending a new machine, and an upgrade!! They are also sending two boxes of coffee because it won't ship for 5 to 10 business days. Overall I think that as much as these machines cost they shouldn't stop working after just a few months of 4-6 cups per day. Good thing they have the warranty! Can't wait to get the new one in, already missing it just after one day!
