Just like everyone else, stopped working

Our brewer worked great for the first six months. Then we would have sketchy times when it would only put out a little water or it would take a little extra time to get it to brew. We would descale the machine and it would start working great again. Then we started having times when it wouldn't brew at all and would tell us to descale. So we would descale it, might get it to work. Last 3 months, hardly ever works, constantly says descale. Can't even get it to brew to descale. Of course we are out of warranty and it will cost me to get a new one. Pretty frustrated since it is only 18 months old. Should be able to get a lot of miles out of a coffee pot, but not so. These same issues also happened to my brother and my father. Looks like we are not alone though, seems like it has happened to a lot of people. Save your money and get another style of brewer or all together another brand. Very disappointed.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too expensive to quit so soon!

Quit working after 21 months-only spit out about an ounce. Ended up being very expensive since it was used only occasionally. I called for help and was offered a new one at a lower price. Can't repeat mistakes. The first one was an indulgence, can't do it again.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Very Convienent, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Too Costly To Not Work

Expensive, fails after warranty is up

My 3rd unit now and it quits working 2-3 months after warranty is up. On all there are Electronic issues with pump starting and quitting in a couple of seconds not making a full cup, customer service no help.
Pros: If It Works Its Great
Cons: Warranty Not Long Enough, Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy, HARD TO CLEAN

Water pump failure...Again..

Love it. Love the convenience.Very disappointed that my second one has failed. First one malfunctioned after several months with a probable pump failure. Was replaced under warrenty with a rebuilt one which lasted 2 years and now that pump has failed. I expect a coffee maker that costs this much last way longer than this. I meant for it to last 5-10 years at least and not just be of "disposable" quality.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Poor Life Expentancy, Water Pump Failure

Best advise I could give to those looking to purchase a Keurig: DO NOT BUY. I am on my fourth Brewer. They only last a 1 yr. or just past the warranty period, tops. I Descaled as required and maintained my brewers but with the same results. Disfunctional, will not brew, would work for a couple days after, than completely stop working. Don't buy.
Pros: Easy to use, No Mess, Fast
Cons: Fragile

Great coffee but inferior quality brewer

The machine brews fabulous tasting coffee without question. The variety of available coffee types and flavors is excellent. The quality of the brew system is questionable and here's why: Read the other reviews here and you will see a theme emerge that reflects similar problems. I have a drinking water purification system in my home and when my brewer failed after less than 2 years, the customer service rep basically blamed the failure on my not descaling every 90 days. The machine has an automatic descaling alert which evidently does not work well enough to protect the unit from damage and there are no warnings in the instruction manual, which, only recommends descaling every 3-6 mos. In other words this machine is very sensitive and I have my doubts as to whether my machine malfunction has anything to do with descaling anyway. My brewer bacame inoperable and would not even turn on. I also had issues with the brewers electronics acting up from the time it came out of the box, brewing the wrong cup size, and refusing to brew on occasion. Sometimes I had to switch the machine off and on again to get it to brew. When I initially purchased my brewer I had read reviews stating that the circuit board had some issues with getting too hot from being too near the heating element, and that, the company was working on repairing the issue. In the end they replaced my brewer out of warranty for about half the cost of a new brewer. My only other concern is that they came out with a NEW brew system and the selection of K-Cups now available even here on the Keurig website is getting smaller and smaller. I would recommend this brewer based on quality of the brewed cup of coffee, however, I would tell my friends about the cost and expense.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Thank God for the Warrenty

I just recived my 3rd unit Keurig had to replace it twice now. Descaling doesnt work well with this product. Using Bottled water and running vinger throught the unit every month. 2nd maker went into descale and would not work correctly even after spending 45 min on the phone with a keurig Tech. Coustomer Service is TOP NOTCH with this company.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Love this machine, we use it everyday! I look for sales on the website and do pretty well even on my flavored and decaf coffees that you pay big bucks for in stores. I do wish they'd get the Canadian site running as I'm tired of paying a brokerage fee and from what I can see the coffee is already in Ontario!!
