So disappointed in these machines

This is our second keurig coffee maker. The first one started turning it's self off after a day, and would not draw water. Talked to a tech, to be told we were not getting the water reservoir in the right place. Knew that was not the problem. Replaced that one, and now the second one is doing the same thing after a month. Will not draw water. We are so disappointed with these machines. Such a good idea, but Keurig has a big defect problem. If they can not get the problem fixed, they should not continue selling these machines.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings

Unhappy with my Platinum

I decided to get a Keurig Platinum even though I read many negative reviews. It's a great concept, however after 6 weeks of use it started shutting off in the middle of brewing a cup of coffee or when it was done brewing. This problem needs to be rectified now. I'm afraid to replace it with another one and I hate to spend the extra money for the Breville. In the meantime, I'm left with a lot of k-cups!
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile

Mostly Happy

Like many other people I have had the pump issue twice and I have my 3rd on the way. I had the special edition brewer before this and never had an issue. Every time I had a problem they resolved it right away and sent me a brand new brewer. The only thing I don't like about that is it is wasting a lot landfill space. When it is working it is my favorite kitchen appliance and wouldn't trade it for the world. To all of those who have had the issue and failed to call support you really need to just pick up the phone and be nice to the customer service people, because they are very helpfull. One of my biggest gripes is people that complain but don't do anything about it.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile

Excellent upgrade from the Elite
on February 9, 2010

I bought this one because I wanted a larger reservoir than the Elite had. I gave my Elite to my younger daughter for Christmas and my older daughter and husband received an Elite from me on their joint birthdays. So now we are a family of Keurig coffee drinkers. We love the coffee and the machines! I love my Platinum too because it is very quiet and I really like the looks of it.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use

I love it. Works great, and wish I would have bought one of these years ago instead of investing in fancy coffee makers that are slow, wasteful, and a pain to clean. I have bought 3 more as gifts, and everyone has loved the maker. I have also tried other makes of single cup coffee makers, and have not really enjoyed the flavor. The K-kups that are available are by far, superior in taste and quality. It doesn't make fancy cappuccino's like other single cup makers because it's not a cappuccino maker. It focus's on coffee, and that it does well.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: none

Whisper quiet!

I had the older Platinum model, and the pump sounded like well - a sump pump. In fact, it vibrates so badly that some travel mugs walk right off the coffee maker during the priming cycle, requiring me to hold them in place when the pump cycled. I had read that the new ones had quieter pumps, but, quite frankly, I was skeptical. I had the opportunity to upgrade our home unit to the new Platinum model (the old one is now in my office at work where the noise won't be an issue), and I can't believe the difference in noise levels. The new one barely hums during the priming cycle. I actually had to look to make sure the water level in the reservoir was dropping. I'm loving this new unit! Well done Keurig!

Too Good to Be True

I just received my brewer and couldn't wait to use it! It worked beautifully for about a week and then, it just started shutting off. It make this horrible humming sound, as the display screen would read, "NOT READY." And, then, after about a minute it would shut off. I had called Customer Service and talked to Darlene. She was extremely empathetic to my situation and so helpful. She said that Keurig would send out a replacement brewer [...]. I so hope the replacement works....I have read several reviews on this brewer and I am a little nervous that this seems to be a consistent problem with this particular brewer. I really hope that Keurig is reading the similar problems that several people seem to be having with this Brewer and fix it. It is a gorgeous-looking machine and is really AWESOME when it works. I am a traditional tea-drinker, but this machine has made me a coffee drinker, due to it's convenience and variety!
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Convenient, Stylish
Cons: Unreliable, Fragile
