3 weeks - Shuts itself off after one cup

After three weeks of loving the machine and the coffee, it started turning itself off after brewing one cup. Called Keurig, spoke with very pleasant rep and technician. I'm surprised to see so many others had the same problem I did, since they told me that this was an isolated incident (I specifically asked if this was a frequent problem)! They advised me to return it to where I purchased it [...] Thinking this was a rare occurrence, I wasn't too upset. Now that I've read these reviews, I'm getting worried. I've already purchased a lot of K-cups! I love the appearance, the ease in cleaning, and the coffee. But it has to WORK!
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile

Let me first say that I never ever write reviews for products. I had to make an exception with this! My mother bought this for me as a gift. At first, I was skeptical. But now I use my Keurig every morning. It brews so fast, and there are so many tasty varieties of K-cups. I love my Keurig!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Durable
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

I would not recommend this coffee maker until the problem of shutting off is fixed. No more should be sold until they are fixed.

I received this as a Christmas gift and was so happy, but disappointed as the coffee has a very strong plastic taste. No matter which coffee I use it has this taste.....

A Hit Throughout the Family

Within moments of waking until just before bedtime, a coffee cup is at my elbow. My older kids drink it as well, but hate messing with a coffee maker. Wife & daughter love teas and cocoa. This present to me from my family has struck a perfect chord for the entire group. When my grown children visit (all coffee drinkers and connoisseurs) I expect they'll enjoy the convenience and numerous choices! Bravo!

This is a good coffee maker for fast coffee, but it didn't even last 10 months before it started leaking and just quit making coffee.if you drink 7 days a week then this won't make it past the factory warranty, unless you get an extended warranty on this machine.

Has Not Been Reliable

I had a 5 year old Keurig at home and replaced it with the B77 from Costco. I'm on my 3rd replacement for the self shut off/ pump not feeding water issue mentioned previously. I love these machines, but clearly there is a design/production flaw.[...] I'll see how this third one performs.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Platinum Brewer is Great WHEN IT WORKS

When I got my first Platinum brewer I was thrilled. The 4 sizes including the 12 oz. was perfect as we often brew into a travel cup. Coffee is always fresh and every one visiting gets their own choice. I used to brew multiple pots of coffee for parties - regular, decaf and flavored - to make sure everyone had what they wanted. I threw away a lot of coffee. Also, I work from home and telecommute. It creates a perfect, fresh cup of coffee any time I want one throughout the day. If only the brewer didn't develop mechanical problems. The first one started shutting off and brewing random cup sizes after about a month. The replacement brewer would not take in water after only a week. Customer Service has been great and worked with me each time. They claim they have the problems with the Platinum fixed. However, [...] I upgraded to Breville model.

Cons: Fragile, Problematic
