Nice while it lasted

Was fine for about a year and then wouldn't put out the correct amounts of water... finally indicated that it needed descaling. Well I followed all of the directions ... wouldn't descale and no coffee. I contacted Keurig as I felt as though the price of the coffee maker was enough to warrant more than one year of use. They were able to offer a discounted price of almost half on a new one. It should arrive in 3 days ! That's an acceptable fix I suppose.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buyer Beware

I wrote a review and the system wouldn't take it due to my language (which was not profane). So, I will spare you the gory details and just say I have been through two Platinum brewers with the same result: control circuit died. They replaced one, finally after some agony, and the other was past warranty so I didn't get anything but a generic reply email telling me to call with my serial number. With the first experience, I was not interested in calling. Keurig customer service like their engineering leaves something to be desired. If you are purchasing, be prepared to spend the $$ for the amount of coffee you drink daily ($750-800 a year for two of us @ 2 cups daily) plus replacing the machine about every two years. Wouldn't you think if they get you to spend this amount just for convenience that they would make a reliable machine? I have now bought another brand single cup brewer that uses real coffee and the only difference is that I have to dump the filter and rinse it which takes about 10 seconds. I am drinking much better coffee in the same amount of time at a fraction of the cost. You be the judge!

My family LOVES coffee. Problem, we all like DIFFERENT coffee (flavored, not flavored, etc.) This is perfect. I make what I like and then so can everyone else. Not restricted to 1 pot of 1 type. Also, you can change it up. Have 1 flavor now and your 2nd cup can be another flavor or even tea or cocoa. I had the smaller 2 size cup version for 7 years. I finally wore it out and decided to go for the larger Keurig with more cup sizes. I am NOT disappointed. Anyone who thinks this is pricey is crazy. Can you imagine how much money I am saving by not buying my daily coffee (3-4 cups just for me) from some fancy coffee shop or even donut place each day? In fact several friends and relatives and even my plumber saw the Keurig at my home and are now Keurig owners themselves!
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Fast, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish

Problems right after warranty period.

I have an older model which works okay. It can be very slow brewing. I bought a Platinum about 2 years ago because I wanted more options. Just after a year it was strugling to take in water and also to have to water come out during brewing. I was told to descale more. I gave up trying to get it to work until today. Thought I would try again. Tried to descale over an hour. Maybe a Tablespoon of water/vinegar would come out - hummed for a while and stop working. Took bottom off - motor was very HOT. Way to much money for a short lived product.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast, Makes One Cup At A Time
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Not Reliable, Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On to Second Machine

Of course as soon as the first one went out of warranty it started acting squirrly. We just ordered the next on up with our points hoping it will be more durable. I would recommend Keurig for a lot of reasons, but this machine is not really one of them.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my keurig platium brewer.

I've owned my platium brewer for over 4-years and I love it. I've never had any problems with it. The K-cups are pricey but worth it.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Fast

Brewed any size it felt like. Broke after only 8 months. Poorly made electronics, which are the guts of the machine. Don't buy.

My husband and I use it everyday! The my K cup, makes everyday coffee cheaper. Everyone in my family has some variation of the coffee maker, we all love it!
