This product does NOT last! I was so disappointed to have mine fail after 18 months. They are too expensive to fail that quickly! Save your money and the landfill! There are other options out there that are better for our environment!
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brewed any size it felt like. Broke after only 8 months. Poorly made electronics, which are the guts of the machine. Don't buy.

LOVE this brewer!!

I absolutely LOVE this brewer!! I just wish it lasted longer. My 1st one lasted a little over a year and then the water stopped flowing. My warranty had just expired not to long before that. However, customer support helped walk me through a checklist of possible fixes (which failed) and are now replacing my brewer free of charge! I miss my morning cups of coffee. Luckily it will only take 3-7 business days for the replacement to arrive. Despite what some reviewers have posted, they really do stand by their products. As for some complaining about it being too noisy? They've obviously never gone into a Coffee shop and ordered a gourmet cup of coffee before. I think the few noises it makes give it character. All premium coffee makers make a LITTLE noise, c'mon now people, can't you find something more important to complain about than a brewer that makes a little noise? This is the BEST coffee maker I have ever owned. A piece of advice though to people who are having problems with theirs, make sure you use Bottled or filtered water, because the brewers are very sensitive to mineral deposits in the water, especially if you have hard water. And clean the needles with a paper clip frequently, I can not stress this enough, rinse it out after doing this and dump the water to prevent clogs. Another piece of advice, if you are going away and leaving your brewer at home for a couple days(Yeah Right, like anyone would leave their brewer at home for that long, LOL) but if you do, follow these steps completely 1. start a brewing cycle without a k-cup in it. 2. while its brewing, remove the water reservoir so the inner tank doesn't refill. 3. dump the remaining water in the reservoir into the sink and place the reservoir upside down with the lid off on paper towels or in a dish drain. When water evaporates, it can leave deposits behind, therefore the brewer should be emptied when it won't be used for several days to minimize the need for Descaling your brewer in the future. As for the Brewer Breaking down after 1 year even with proper care and maintenance?... The manufacturers at Keurig will have to figure out how to fix that if they want to gain new customers, because as we all know, word travels fast. Happy customers are returning customers who bring new customers with them, and as long as my replacement brewer doesn't break down after 1 year's time, I will continue to sing praises about Keurig and continue recommending their Brewers to my Family and friends :)
Pros: Fast, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Short life span, HARD TO CLEAN

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

3 years and going strong

I bought my B70 in November 2009 and three years later it still works as well as day one. It is my second Keurig. My older model is now at my office and it works great, too. It's probably 4-5 years old. I am thinking of upgrading for the new Platinum Plus, but only for the new features. I'm sure I will find a home for the older one. I am very pleased with my Keurigs and have no desire to go back to the old coffee makers of he past.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use, Fast, Stylish

Possible fix for prime/pump issue
on December 29, 2012

This solution is not mentioned in the manual, online, or by customer service, so I could be wrong but; my machines have experienced the same or similar priming/pump/noise issues often described in these comments. Descaling does not work if the water is not pumping through, right? Today I think I've discovered the cause. If you look at the information on some of the models you will see the ability to drain the tank. My belief is that pressure in the tank cannot be overcome by the pump and this creates (wait for it . . .) excess noise and partial or no output. Believing my machine had finally bit the dust I was prepared to go look for a replacement. It was too early in the am so I curiously decided to disassemble my "dead" machine. I got to the tank, drained it, blew through the various tubes; put it all back together and voila! Please do not try if you are mechanically challenged and be careful (the water in my tank was still not).
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

This lasted 3 years. I was sad when it would no longer brew. So bought another system but had to go down a system because of cost. Its not as quiet, cup size differs too. I just hope this one will last as long.
Pros: Fast, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use

My Platinum brewer suddenly started leaking water from the back of the unit. I called customer service and another unit is on the way as a replacement. My brewer has made up at least 10 cups a day for almost a year without a problem. I think I wore it out. Great product, GREAT customer service!!!! I wish all companies would stand by their product like Keurig does.
Pros: Great Customer Service, Stylish, Fast, Quick cup of coffee, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes Great Coffee, But...

We bought our B70 at a warehouse store back in October, and were delighted with it until the notorious "Prime" defect popped up - after less than 6 months. We use only filtered water, descaled it after 3 months as recommended, and brew maybe 5-6 cups of coffee per day. When the water stopped pumping into the reservoir, we tried following the "Troubleshooting" instructions in the manual, to no avail. After two calls to customer service, we received a brand-new one in just 3 days, at no charge. We are now very leery about Keurig brewers and may not bother to replace this one if it fails. After all the complaints Keurig has had about this brewer, maybe it's time for them to make a better quality product. If you pay over $100 for a coffee brewer, shouldn't you expect it to last more than 6 months before you have to replace it? This must be costing Keurig a lot of money as well, sending out replacements. We love our Keurig, and the customer service is great - now if only our brewer will last a few years?
Pros: Fast, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Breaks Down In 6 Months, Fragile
