Great brewer....when it works

I'm a single retired guy with a girlfriend, so this brewer only has to brew on average, 2cups a day. Makes delicious coffee however; this is my second brewer in 4 years and it just quit after 24 months. Keurig is sending a replacement for about half price but come on! I only use distilled water, I always de-scale it every 4-5 months. If I hadn't just spent $150 on k-cups, I'd seriously be looking at another brand. Keurig, you really need to improve the durability on an otherwise wonderful product.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Noisy, Pricey / Poor Value
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great but then stops working
on July 22, 2012

I am currently on my THIRD Keurig and it once again has stopped working. I maintain it as instructed and the same thing has happened each time (read other reviews- this is a common thread.) Customer service is great and has sent me a new coffee maker but this time I am 3 months past the 12 month warranty. I have not yet called but am guessing (based upon other reviews)that I am out of luck. I love the convenience and the coffee, but an expensive machine like this should last longer than 15 months. BTW- my brother took my Mom's after she passed away (the basic model)and his also stopped working. He got 2 years out of it.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Fragile, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

second Keurig in 2 years

my second keurig. I hate that when they break you just have to throw them away. I wonder how many keurig machines are in our landfills. customer service said mine was probably clogged, yet I can "force" water through it by blowing into the overflow and placing my finger over the water intake. I think the problem lies in the computer part of it, I have to unplug it and reboot it every time. I'm not sure it's worth buying a third machine.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the concept but not durable at all. I'm on my third one, 2 replaced by warranty. Customer service is great on replacing them but for almost $200 they should last more than 6 months.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesnt last, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keurig Plat. Brew System Pays for Itself

This product is a very well made coffee maker and needs very minimal maintenance. It truly is a workhorse and in my opinion, the best value. The manual will tell you how to keep it in excellent working condition. I keep mine clean by breaking down the feeder assembly, cleaning it thoroughly, letting it air dry, then reassembling it. That entire process takes about an hour maximum. This is in addition to the process explained in the booklet. Using filtered water or bottled water also helps keeps things flowing after long usage and makes the coffee taste better. My two favourite aspects are the removable tray for larger travel mugs and the "brew your own" cup you can use for your own blends of coffee and/or tea. Very easy to use as well. I have used mine regularly for almost two years and I have only had a small problem which ended up to be my fault. The floater disc in the tank sometimes gets stuck after you remove the tank and hand clean it. A simple tap allows it to float again which stops the blinking blue light "Tank Empty" indicator. This has only happened to me once. Most coffees and teas typically cause no issues. However, when you make a thick drink like hot chocolate, the feeder jet may clog after it dries. Keurig makes it very simple to clean the brewing cup encasement. The Customer Support Department is also very friendly and eager to listen and help you through any issue. Thanks for your valuable time.
Pros: Stylish, Long lasting, Fast, Easy to clean, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Durable

Does Not Last

I got my first one in February 2010. A year later, it died. Keurig was nice enough to replace it even though I was 11 days over warrenty. Now, a year and 1/2 later, it isn't brewing. I am so disappointed! I love my Keurig but, for the price I paid for it, it should last forever! I have a Mr. Coffee at my lake house and it is 15 years old and works fine. I guess I will have to go back to Mr. Coffee.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Does not last

I used this product for two cups a coffee a day. During summer used the hot water once a day. Machine would not turn on one morning. Was told by Keurig that it was my fault because I did not descale it. After 2.5 and [$] for the machine I expected better quality. Not worth the money for another machine and the kcups.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Died after 2 years, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile, Not hot enough
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Water pump failure...Again..
on September 25, 2012

Love it. Love the convenience.Very disappointed that my second one has failed. First one malfunctioned after several months with a probable pump failure. Was replaced under warrenty with a rebuilt one which lasted 2 years and now that pump has failed. I expect a coffee maker that costs this much last way longer than this. I meant for it to last 5-10 years at least and not just be of "disposable" quality.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Poor Life Expentancy, Water Pump Failure
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
