The worst design I have ever purchased

This machine is EXTREMELY poorly built. I am on my 8th machine since purchasing it in January of 2010. Sometimes they last a week and sometimes they last 3 months. The last one I had lasted 3 months. Something is horribly wrong with Keurig's quality control. The pump is poorly designed. Now I have to box this one up and take it back to the store that I bought it and exchange it AGAIN. Thankfully they have been doing this but it is tremendous time and trouble in doing so. Some say not to do it but I have invested so much time and money into it that not exchanging...I lose. Keurig, you need to do something about your machine.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Major Design Flaw, Fragile, Poor Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a Happy Camper

Love the concept of the Kuerig system. But very disapointed in the reliability. Unit shuts itself off in the middle of a brewing cycle. Or, won't even start when a brew cycle button is pressed. Often times shuts itself down completely. Kuerig needs to find a better control systems designer or get it built somewhere other than in China.
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

I used my Keurig daily for 1 cup, 2 on weekends and still it only lasted 18 months. For these prices I would expect to get a lot more use out of it. Even though I descaled frequently, it would still stop brewing or only brew a half cup about every 2-3 months even with my limited use. Now the power doesn't come on at all. Very disappointed and will be looking for another brand
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Maximum of 1.5 years service life

Our 2nd Keurig Platinum in 3 years is now doing it's 'end of life' tricks. Descaling light comes on immediately after descaling. We use filtered water and descaled this one ahead of the regularly scheduled process. Spent too much time on the phone with a technician to learn the fine art of unclogging the sharp piece that pierces the cup. That trick lasts for one maybe two cups of coffee, then descaling flashes again. Shortly after that, we start getting 'short' cups...the pump is not pulling in the appropriate amount for the size chosen. Over $300 wasted with Keurig. You've lost another customer, and have warned friends who saw this in our home and were considering making a purchase to stay away from this model and proceed with caution with other models.
Cons: Poor Quality, Needs re-engineering, HARD TO CLEAN, Poor value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mine lasted almost a year

Very Useful Product. Produces a hot cup of coffee that is not overly hot (I.E., too hot to drink) and I can make whatever size and strength cup of coffee I need as can anyone else in the household. Plus I am not wasting half a pot of coffee and water by making a full pot and being the only one in the house drinking more than one cup. This model has worked well for over a year, it recently began having problems and I am getting a new one. Routine descaling and rinsing will cure and prevent many of the problems you read about in regard to the cons of this unit. Take care of your coffeemaker, and it will do right by you.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Mine broke after just 4 months of use. If this product was dependable it would great. I did call Keurig and they are sending me another one. I hope this one turns out to be better. I really wish they fix the problems these machines have.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Poorly made

Love My Keurig

I have had my Keurig Platinum for about 2 years and love it. I have since bought one for 3 offices and know of at least 4 relatives that have purchased one. This brews the best cup of coffee. I usually only drink 1-2 cups of coffee every day and struggled for years finding the perfect measurement for that small amount. More than likely I made an entire pot and threw most of it out. I have had some issues with the Keurig making smaller cups, but I just clean it with vinegar and that solves the problem. The K-Cup choices are fabulous and I have found some really great coffees that I would have never tried had I not had my Keurig. When we have company, everyone loves being able to choose their own flavor of coffee.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Fast, Durable, Stylish, Multiple Settings

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Not for every day, long term use. Malfunctions right around the time of warranty expiration.
