Malfunctioning after 6 months!

This brewer is only used by a family of 3 who only uses genuine K-cups in it. It is now refusing to brew a cup when you push "brew," you only hear humming, then we have to turn it on and off, open the cup holder, wait and see...sometimes we are lucky and will get a cup. Since still under warranty, we will now undertake the job of trying to get a replacement from Keurig. Will update at a future date to let you know about the service we wound up receiving.

My parents and I have this machine. It is an upgrade from our first machine. The first machine worked perfectly for three years and was well worth it. The upgrade has been nothing but trouble. My parents first machine leaked, mine has been providing short cups. Customer service can never find me in the system so I have to start over every time I call in.

We had our B70 Keurig maker a little over 1 year and it stopped doing anything! I mean it would not put forth a drop of water. Upon calling customer service they told me that it needed to be descaled! Well it has anALERT that tells you when to DESCALE. But it never came on till it was too late!!!Customer service told me I COULD NOT descale because it would not run any water thru it. All they could do was offer a discount on a new brewer. They have you at their mercy. With the brewer costing over $200 dollars you have to purchase another one. NO REFUND JUSE A SORRY. [...]will be sure to keep an eye on it because you only have a 1 year warranty. IF YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE ONE "GOOD LUCK" It does make good coffee just poor quality brewer!!!

Great idea and great coffee, if it works

I won my Platinum brew in a silent auction in December of 2009. I love the concept. It's great for someone like me who is the only coffee drinker in the house. I don't have to brew a whole pot in order to get good coffee. That being said, I have had many of the problems listed in other reviews. My main problem is that I will go to brew a cup and I get no output upon initiating the brew cycle. It is a really frustrating thing to deal with in the morning when you wake up. I also have 2 comments, 1) as far as using only filtered or purified water, that SHOULD NOT matter. No other coffee maker out there requires you to use filtered water to make the coffee. And by the way, just because you use filtered water, doesn't mean it's not hard water. 2) I have tried both filling the resevoir by keeping it on the machine and by removing it. I have not seen any difference no matter which way you do it. Because of the issues I've had, I am being sent a replacement unit as well. This will be my second one since Dec 09 so we'll see how it goes. I've heard they worked out the problems. If they haven't, I will not be getting another unit from them. It's not an issue of how good the customer service is to me, but an issue of how well their product is made. It doesn't matter if they stand behind it if they don't make a good product. If this second doesn't work, I'll be moving on.

The Modern Day Coffee Machine

I can make a cup of tea and make a cup of coffee right after or a different flavor of coffee at any given time without wasting a whole pot of the same coffee.
Pros: Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, No wasted coffee, Stylish, No washing, Multiple Settings

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

I love my Keurig

This is my second brewer. The first stopped brewing after about two months. I've had this one for about 6 months, so far it has failed to dispense water when I pressed the brew button three times. Each time, I had to turn the brewer off to restart it. To my surprise, it dispensed enough water to equal two large cups. The first time I did not expect the overflow, but I was prepared the next two times. I still love my brewer.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Durabilty Quality

Like some of the other posts, we had problems after descaling/cleaning the unit. But it was quickly resolved after calling Keurig. After a little bit of trouble shooting they are sending out a brand new unit. They customer service ing dealing with this was great! We love our brewer, it makes making coffee, tea & other drinks so fast & easy. I would never go back to regular coffee machines. Love it!!!

Cons: Doesnt always brew full c, HARD TO CLEAN

I ordered this product for myself for christmas last year. it worked well until only 2 months later when it would only brew a half a cup then th emachine would shut itself off! the good side was that after calling the company they promptly replaced the machine and were very accommodating and apologetic. my new one has been working well and I am very pleased so far...
