B70 just does not hold up

Our current B70 is our fourth. Our first lasted the longest while our fourth lasted only a month or two before it began to fail. Symptoms were pump failing, shutoff, limited cup filling, and water temp. Keurig customer service has been great every time with a quick replacement unit, but it is just very frustrating when you try to purchase a quality coffe maker and it consistantly fails with the same problems. I have recommended Keurig units to many co-workers and family members and each has had very good luck with their units. It must be the luck of the draw and thank goodness they have not experienced the same quality issues I have. Well, back to the phone to Keurig to explain yet again the same problems with our fourth B70 to exchange it for a fifth B70 in three years.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Brewer stinks! I have been a customer for many years going back to the 2nd generation brewer.my first brewer lasted many years with one replacement. This is my 3rd brewer of this model in 6 months. Stay away from this model.[...] It gives Keurig a bad rep.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Poor Quality, Unreliable

I purchsed the Platium Keurig Machine in January, 2010. Makes great coffee when it works. I select a medium size cup, and it only fills the cup half way, and then the machine shuts off. Very frustrating.
Pros: Multiple Settings
Cons: Complicated

ordered my second machine today

I bought the platinum B70 1.7 yrs ago. First the pros:Worked great for 1.7 years w/ no problemsGreat cup of coffeeconvenientUniqueHistory: My original brewer(platinum b70) quit working 3 days ago. The pump wouldn't work. Sometimes it would try, but then stop. Sometimes a little water would come out and then stop. The next time the pump wouldn't even run, although the display showed it to be brewing. I descaled on a regular basis and used purified water every time. So, I called customer service and they said it was too far out of warranty, so the only thing they could do was give me a 30% discount on ordering a new machine. So, I ordered the next model down (the B39). Plus I was given 2 free orders of coffee of my choosing, which was nice. We'll see how long the B39 lasts. Best rating of all brewersCons: The 5 cup size selector quit working a while back, but that did not bother me. It seemed to be stuck on the 10 oz. only size. For the price paid, the brewer should last longer than 1.7 years (which maybe a record after reading other reviews)The warranty should be more than 1 yr.Customer service requested that I send back the k cup holder from my old broken machine (I assume since I was given a discount on a new one) at my own expense.Keurig has a very cool, unique product that has top of the line prices. The manufacturing (reliability) and warranty on these machines should reflect that very thing. Also, for the price, a track record of years of trouble free use.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Short warranty, Not well manufactured
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not reliable

Sames as stated in few reviews, our brewer broke twice. Keurig replaced everytime, but told that this was the last time that they would replace. Our usage is regular (max 2 cup per day). Now I am affraid to use it, I just don't know when it will stop working again. Keurig was suspecting scaling problem. However we followed the de-scaling procedure provided by Keurig and it still failed. Go figure!
Pros: Easy to use

Broke one month after warranty expired

The brewer worked fine for one year and one month and then it stopped working. It brewed about 5-10 cups per day. I would expect an expensive brewer to last much longer. I'm trying the commercial model now and hope that is built to last much longer! I wonder if the reason the Platnium model is the only brewer available for purchase with points is because it doesn't last long?
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We received the Platinum brewer as a gift in May 2009. My wife and I are casual coffee drinkers, maybe 4 to 5 cups a week, so I don't believe the machine gets over used. It quit working July 2010, just outside the 1 year warranty. My father-in-law has gone thru 4 machines in 2 years and is currently using the Cuisinart machine. We'll see if it lasts any longer. I do not plan on buying a new machine, I'll give my K-cups away and go back to pots of coffee. Do not buy this system, it's not worth it.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Fragile, Not durable
