Had problems since day one

I bought this machine in December 09'. I had problems with it automatically. It finally started working "normally" for a few months. THEN, it started brewing only 2 or 3 ounces at a time. You set it to brew right after and it brews 10 ounces when you only set it to brew 8. Cleaning up the overflow was very annoying. As much money as I paid for this machine I was very disappointed. [...]After I unclogged the needle with safety pin and descaled my brewer it was fine. WELL 2 weeks later. Not so much. It was messing up even more than last time. When I went to brew one 8 ounce cup of coffee it brewed ALL THE WATER non stop and then shut off by itself. I called customer service right away. Again, no problems with customer service. They were great and sent me a new machine. Got it in 3 days. I'm hoping I will not have any problems with this one.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Quality/Poor Customer Service

My husband and I used our Kuerig every morning and some evenings. We had it 1 1/2 years and it quit working. He tried cleaning all parts and determined the pump failed. He called Customer Service, they suggested several things but ultimately said they do not repair machines and they do not sell replacement parts. They also would not replace it because it was 6 mos past warranty. They wanted to offer us a 20% discount and sell us another model. Why is it that my $40 Mr Coffee has worked for years but Kuerig won't stand behind a [$] product? I think I will try the Bosch model next time!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Not Reliable

Loved it, but 10 months after...

Bought it about 10 months ago, but in the last few weeks it's not working properly - gives me 1/2 cup coffees, and shuts off halfway through brewing a cup. Somehow the SIZES got messed up, and now the smaller size gives me a larger cup! I'll be calling their customer service tomorrow, I really really hope it's easily replaceable!

Will not brew after one year.

Water pump went out and will not brew after only one year. Keurig will not replace despite other complaints regarding the water pump system especially between late 2009 to early 2010.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is getting very expensive

We have acquired and registered five Platinum Keurigs (one was a replacement for one that failed under warranty). We love the convenience and flexibility they provide and keep one in the kitchen and one in the game room. All but one have failed - supposedly because of impurities in the water. We purchased two Zero water systems and only use the filtered water from it, and we clean them with vinegar according to the recommended procedures. We still had our fourth one fail three days past its warranty date. We are using Zero water in the fifth one downstairs and fully expect it to fail as well 18 months after we bought it.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Fails Even With Pure H2o, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Machine!

We received the Keurig two years ago for Christmas and I loved it! AFter about a ear and a half it died on us and we were upset. I tried a regular coffee pot after that (for about a week) and had to get another Keurig! I loved this brewer, but was sad it only lasted a year and a half.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use, Fast, Durable
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Recently got this as an early christmas present from my mom and my husband and I can't figure out how we lived with out it. Both of us only drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning, so this is perfect. I use it mostly for tea and cocoa.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use

Waste of money for this unit

Had Platnum unit for 12 hours before it started shutting down and would not stay turned on. Followed all the directions to the letter. I should have read all of the "con" reviews before making this purchase. This problem needs addressed and can not be dismissed by Keurig as "operator error" or "outlet problems". Bottom line....hold off on purchasing!!!
Cons: Design flaw
