Works well for the 1.5 years; and then..

This is our 2nd machine in 3 years and they both stopped brewing at 1.5 years! It kept says "Descale" and eventually stopped brewing for both brewers around the same time-frame. We kept up with the regular maintenance (de-scaling on a regular basis, using filtered water, etc...) with the 2nd brewer, but the same result. We are debating if it is worth a 3rd try.
Pros: Covenient, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Not durable, Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Bulky

Great Brewer

This is our second brewer. We had the old B40 brewer for 2 years, and it still works perfectly today. Just thought it was time to get something with more options. Opening the box and setting the brewer up was easy. It has a very elegant design, with a blue backlit LCD display, and blue LED lights that shine into the reservoir from underneath. The reservoir has i nice flip top lid on the front side. Its perfect for pouring water into the reservoir. With the B40 you had to remove the entire lid. It came with the $17.95 water filter kit which is a bonus! It works and fits perfectly inside the brewer. (Note: We have always used plain tap water in our B40, which you are not supposed to as the minerals could damage the unit. Ours for 2 years never had a problem. If you really like having filtered water this is the brewer to buy.) Turning the unit on and setting up all the options such as the time, auto off timer, on/off times, temperature, and cup sizes was easy. Within minutes i was brewing my first cup of coffee. It was faster than the B40 and extremely quiet. All in all this is the best brewer we have ever purchased. It has great options and functionality for the price.

noisier than claimed, but better overall

I like how they redesigned the resevoir to hold more wate, but the whole unit still only takes up as much space as my old one. I DON'T like, however, that every action is accompanied with a click. Open and shut the top, select your brew size, brew, etc. Click, click, click. It is louder than my B77, even though they both claim Quiet Brew. alas, not so much. even when it cycles (draws water) it makes noise... like the old ones before Quiet Brew came along. hmmm.
Pros: Lg Resevoirsm Footprint, Fast, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Noisy, Clicks Too Much
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

5 cup size does not work, cool temp.

No matter what size I choose, 90% of the time brews about 6 oz. of coffee. Temperature cool, set at highest temp. but still brews cooler.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Coffee Not Very Hot, 5 Cup Size Does Not Work

Third Times A Charm

This is our third Keurig machine. Our last one just stopped working (no power) so we were offered a substantial discount on the K75. We are real coffee and tea drinkers and running 5 to 6 brews a day is not uncommon. The setup was very easy. The only real problem I have is the power switch. I prefer not to leave the machine on all day burning up electricity (not lots, but why waste our resources?). I liked the older model that had the power switch on the console with the rest of the buttons. Why would they move it to the bottom rear of the machine? Looking forward to many, many cups of coffee and tea with this machine.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use

Great coffee; Flimsy handle

So, I decided to buy a new Platinum brewer because mine was 4 years old and the time to brew a cup of coffee was now out to a minute and a half. After numerous descaling, the time didn't get any better and the coffee was really getting bitter. The new unit arrived for me to find that the handle was so loose and flimsy that a call to Customer Service was in order. They promptly sent me out a new one telling me to just send back the K-cup holder of the original; keep the drip tray and reservoir as spare parts; and discard the brewer in the trash! So much for an earth-friendly company. Furthermore, I'm responsible for the postage on sending back the K-cup holder. Nice, eh? I mean, come on! This is a brand new machine that had a problem and I have to send back the K-cup holder and pay for the postage? Wow. Oh, and by the way? The new machine has the same loose, flimsy handle as the first new model. Clearly, the quality of the machine has gone down-hill. Although I would still recommend the system, be advised that there is a quality problem.

Cons: Fragile, Flimsy

My husband & I are big coffee drinkers.This is the greatest thing since the wheel!!! We have 3 Keurigs & they are amazing...perfect cup EVERY TIME!!!...Throwing out pots of coffee was a waste of money....No more burnt coffee taste...Pop in a K-cup & the magic begins . In seconds, you have a fresh cup every time. Also, the teas are delicious too.
Pros: Durable, Fast, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings

We absolutely love it, much easier for when you want a big mug of coffee to take to work or anywhere with you since there are so many different cup sizes.
