Quiet & Fast - Just the Way I Like It!

This brewer is fantastic! It is the third Keurig I own. The Special Edition (#1) was far too noisy but I brought it into work & use it there. Can't hear the noise through the machines! The little guy (#2) I am keeping for a back-up...you never know when I'll go somewhere & want it with me! The Premier (#3) is my newest baby & it's so quiet that I can sneak a very early morning cup of coffee without waking anyone. It's fast to heat up & really fast at brewing...I honestly don't know how I got along without it up to this point because I love my coffee & have several cups a day. Keurig is a great company. Reliable craftsmanship is the benchmark of a great product. Keurig has that in spades...especially with the K-75 Platinum Brewer. Buy it & you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Fast, Durable, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish

Platinum Brewing Says It All

I owned a Tassimo for the last three years. It was time for a change. I got fed up with the lack of variety. I will miss the Real Milk Latte's and Cappuccino's which can not be beat on the Tassimo. The lack of Coffee especially Tea selection made me want to switch to Keurig. I have owned the K75 for less than a week now, and me and my family are enjoying this far more than the Tassimo. We use the machine several times a day. It is very easy to operate and it is oh so quiet. Perfect for early mornings. Do not have to worry about waking anyone up. Perfect for any time of day really due to its quietness. The 72oz. water reservoir is really nice for a family of four. We can empty it out pretty quickly. Love the blue glow on the water reservoir. Looks especially cool at night. I hope we have a better experience than some other reviewers regarding the durability/reliability issues. I hope we get more than one year, more than three would be great before a replacement is needed. So far so good. We really do enjoy the K75.

Not Reliable for us

Sadly, we have had 3 brewers and none of the 3 lasted more than 2 years even though we only average about 1 cup per day. Our 3rd one broke today after only 16 monthly (Platnium brewer). It stops pumping water into the brewer. Even when it was new, it never worked quite right after the first month. We always set the middle cup size, yet about one cup out of every 8 would be wasted because it would completely fill the cup to the brim (a very thin cup of coffee). Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money to replace this every couple of years for the convenience, you will be better off buying something else more reliable. No, it is not a scaling issue.
Pros: Stylish, Convenient, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy, Not Reliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had one of the first models and it lasted for years. They made many improvements on this model but unfortunatly this one lasted for only 4 months and conveinantly they only give a 30 day warrenty. NOT PLEASED TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!!!!!!!

I only wish the Keurig brewing systems would last longer...especially for the price. I have had 4 units (purchased 3 and received 1 as a replacement at no charge) and they seem to last for a little over a year. When it does work...I LOVE this product, but unfortunately I am now in search of another brand due to Keurig's short life.

Great product

I've had a different Keurig model at work for a couple of years and think it's great. I bought this because I wanted to make a cup of coffee but didn't like dealing with the drip coffee maker we have for just one cup. This is great becaus I can quickly brew a cup of coffee, tea, or just get hot water. After about a month, the unit was telling me to "Prime." I cleaned the reservoir. It went about two coffee cups full. Then i cleaned again. After a month, of this it was now doing it every cup. It was time to swap the filter so I did, thinking it would be better. Now I could go 4 cups, most of which wound up being water only brews. I went to Google and did some reading and some YouTube watching. It seems I needed to clean it better. I cleaned the reservoir, the filter screen, and the hole in the base. I then took of the K-cup housing and throughly cleaned that, including the exit needle. It's been fine since. I think I have brewed 7 cups of coffee since then with no "Prime." In short, to get the "Prime" issue to stop, throughly clean the unit (rservoir, filter screen, exit needle, K-cup housing assembly, etc). The reason for the 4 star review is this is kind of excessive. Seems to be a high maintenance machine that way, but this has renewed my satisfaction. I was getting ready to return this under warranty, but if you can handle the cleaning process (less than 10 minutes for all that), then this isn't a bad unit.

Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

I love my Keurig!!! Im a recovering Starbucks "addict" lol!! I was finding it just too expensive. Tried every brewer out there until I finally tried the Keurig. It makes a perfect cup every time, simple controls, easy to use and cheap coffee. What more could I ask. I am down to 2 choices for my fave brew. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!
