No Quality Control

My first Keurig (the original) was given to me as a gift 6 years ago and is still working fine. This model is loud but makes good coffee. I purchased a platinum brewer in October 2012 because I liked the added features (cup size etc.). This brewer started giving me trouble 2 months later. The "prime" notice came on for three days in a row even after I did what the book said to do. I returned it and purchased a second machine and, low and behold, two months later the same thing is happening. I brew a maximum of 3 cups a day and use only filtered water. In the six years I have had my original I never got the "prime" or "descale" warning. I am very hesitant to try a third platinum. If I hadn't purchased my brewer in Costco I would have had the hassle of shipping the defective brewers back. A friend of mine bought her Keurig a couple of weeks after me in October and she has not had a problem. Funny thing is she uses tap water and brews quite a few more cups than I do. One lemon I understand but two??
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Requires Too Much Care

A Brewing System.

Platinum Brewing System, must be cleaned, with vinegar monthly. Not every ( 3 ) months. / If you, like an instant cup of coffee, like i do this is your brewing system. Bad news I heard that the Platinum Brewing System is no longer covered by a One Year Warranty, But a ( 30 ) day warranty. " I CAN SEE WHY. " PS. Buy a Mr. Coffee for $ 16.00, it will at least, work for ( 10 ) years, and you only have to clean it ( 1 ) time.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, One Year Warranty, Easy to use
Cons: 5th Pot Under Warranty

Love my brewer

I run a coffee bar, this cute little brewer gives me my coffee on demand. I don't have to brew a whole pot of a what ever everyone else wants. I've order 10different favors and strength of coffee, I even ordered decaf. I may buy my daughter one for her birthday on the 16th.

Great for a fast, fresh cup of coffee

Keurig systems are great for a delicious, fast, fresh cup of coffee each time. But, they only last about a year before they start to act up. Needs frequent cleaning, which takes anywhere from 2 hours to 4-8 hours for vinegar to soak for longer cleaning, which I need as it's used throughout the day. Then added time running system to clear vinegar taste and clean needle. Even with using distelled water, as recommended, as a frequent drinker, my system needs cleaning a lot. Hard to reach needle to get out mineral deposits and what not and awkward since you have to bend down to see and reach needle in order to use a safety pin to clean hole. I have also gotten descale light showing again right after cleaning, even when leaving vinegar to soak in system for 8 hours. Can get annoying. But, for me, it's worth replacing yearly. I could probably get longer use out of it but I get frustrated having to constantly clean it. And, by buying coffee online there are benefits. I use my earned points to replace system when needed which saves me quite a bit. Which is why I don't mind having to replace system so often.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Fresh coffee every time
Cons: Lasts About A Year, Tied Up Hours To Clean, HARD TO CLEAN, Needs frequent cleaning

I just purchased my B70 last week and right now I could not be more pleased with it. I was using a regular rewer that had the option to brew a single travel size portion so the Keurig made sense as an upgrade. I love the variety in the K-cup selection I was torn for weeks about the platinum Brewer versus the Vue. My wife and I finally settled on the Platinum because the Vue packs are so limited and the only place near us that carries them is Kohls. I am a bit nervous about the durability and quality of the platinum I have read so many bad reviews and horror stories about the durability. I guess time will tell. Right now this is a great brewer and I could not be more pleased. I will certainly be giving an update later as time passes.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

WISH IT LASTED LONGER

Got one as a gift. Lasted 1 1/2 yrs before trouble with water pump. Now it just quit working, no power. Disapointed it didn't last longer for the price paid. Would recommend it, especially the cup capacity.

My husband and I never bothered buying a coffee maker because, until recently, we worked right next door to a coffee shop. When we changed jobs, my husband started to drink (eeewww) instant coffee. My niece had bought a different unit and loved it, so I decided it was time. I am so glad I did. I don`t drink coffee, but I do drink tea and hot chocolate, and I love it. We work different shifts, so the auto on off feature is wonderful. And since I use a large travel mug, the different cup sizes is perfect.
