I have had 4 coffee makers in 4 years. before a year is up it dies on me. My husband just says get a regular one, but them I would have all these Kcups hanging around. I like the Keurig. I just don't like that they don't last!!!
Pros: Easy to use, 1 Cup When Wanted
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Great Coffee-Terrible Appliance

I use everyday for 3-4 cups a day. Not long after purchase I started having problems...not brewing...taking forever to brew...I am now told I need to let the vinegar sit for 4 hours-do this twice...I am to only use distilled water even though I only use bottled water and have bought the price additional water filter for the coffee maker. Love the coffee...love the idea...but the worst least reliable small appliance ever!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Poor Quality, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

Platinum is more like lead

I use my platinum maybe at most five-six times a week and after a year it has become very inconsistent. It will brew anywhere from 1 tablespoon to a full cup depending on its mood. I'm tired of wasting money on k-cups and also brewers. This is my second brewer from Keurig and both have failed. I can't afford to buy another one. Ive tried the paper clip method, I've descaled the unit, but nothing works. I'm going back to my $20 french press.
Cons: Noisy, Fragile, Inconsistent, Junk, Pricey / Poor Value

Dead after year!

convenient to use. various types of coffee. wish it would fill cups more than it does. Mine broke after a year,said it was brewing but nothing happen. Kuerig sent me to site, so i could try different solutions, didn't work.Also tried some solutions found on the internet, it was dead. When it worked it was a great product. not sure i would replace it with the same product!

Somewhat disappointed

I got my platinum brewer as a christmas gift. The k-cups cost more than regular coffe but I like that nothing goes to waste. Problem with mine has been since the second day it takes spells of not working. I called customer service and they are sending a new one but they didn't have one the same color so I had to settle for silver. After reading the reviews I doubt I'll give it another chance if the replacement doesn't work.

Great product

While a little expensive this brewer is fast, offers lots of choices and configures easily. With auto-on and off features it's also an energy saver. The only real con of the device is that the power switch is on the back and not with all the other controls on the front...which forces placement in an area where I can get my hand behind the device on the right side to switch it on or off manually during times outside of automatic on/off settings.
Pros: Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Durable, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

The machine makes the best coffee I've ever had and I've had a lot of coffee for a lot of years. I don't have to make a new pot to change flavors or roasts. I can change the size of cup from expresso to travel mug in a second. It turns itself off and on and changes the temperature of the coffee or tea or hot chocolate. The only thing it doesn't do is drink it for me. With maintenance, it will last a long time and then I'll buy another. It doesn't get any better than this.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.
