Cool concept, weak coffee
on December 5, 2012

We got the maker so I could have regular coffee and my wife could have espresso. I like everything about the coffee maker except one thing: It makes weak coffee. Anything above the middle sized coffee cup on the selector ends up with dishwater. This is true of the k-cup packs and of the k-cup filter for your own coffee. I think it would not be hard to design/modify it to solve the problem, but as it is, I am not satisfied.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Weak coffee, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well, I received my replacement unit…
on December 6, 2012

...today (out of warranty) from Keurig in only two days time. Now, that's some speedy service. Unfortunately, the one this unit replaced died during the descaling process only after eight months of use. Like the four others I have previously owned, the pump on my prior unit also 'gave up the ghost' and ceased to function. This comes even after religiously descaling the unit every three months (whether the brewer's display had indicated it or not) and also after I had only used the recommended filtered/bottled water. Although 'out of warranty' (I actually purchased it last summer – 2011, but did not put it into service until earlier this year), this last one was replaced by Keurig at a reduced price, because in all actuality it had only actually lasted less than a year. I was also advised by the Keurig customer service rep that these units have no serviceable parts and cannot be repaired? Well, at least this evening I'm once again able to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee. Although I do own other coffee makers which work just fine, as well as own rare exotic coffees, I really don't drink coffee all day long; therefore, there's really no need for me to 'fire-up' a pot of coffee, as most will just go to waste. Besides, I prefer the 'no mess, no hastle' brewing that the Keurig brewers offer, as well as the ability to choose from a vast array of coffee and tea K-cups that I have purchased. Unfortunately, my favorite K-cup coffee 'Sugar Brush Maple' by Timothy's of Canada is a seasonable item and can only be purchased online whenever it does become available for only a short period of time. BTW, the replacement unit is model #B70 WR (warranty replacement) and it's different than the original model #B70 it replaced. The chrome handle is thicker and is made from chrome-metalized plastic as opposed to its predecessor's actual chrome-plated metal handle? Also, it did not arrive in or was it with a retail-type box. I was not supplied with the usual packet of owner's/operator's manuals/booklets. In addition, the back lit screen's size selection no longer indicates the 'brew over ice' size, but has been replaced by a minuscule 4 oz size reminiscent to that of an espresso?
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Quiet, No Mess No Fuss, Fast, Lg Coffee Tea Selection
Cons: Does Not Last, Poor Pump Design, Pricey / Poor Value, No Serviceable Parts

broke in less than three years

I enjoyed the Keurig while it was working but after less than three years it kicked the bucket. Customer service said that nothing can be done to fix it. I expected that for such an expensive machine, i would get several years of use after it. Buyer beware!
Pros: Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cons: Water Holder Too Small

I am not (more correctly I WAS not) a regular coffee drinker and wasn't even interested in a Keurig but my parents bouht this one for us for Christmas. I love it that I can get up in the morning at 4am for my workout and decide what flavor coffee that I want and be drinking it 2 minutes later! I have already treated myself by the time I get to the gym. I went out immediately and bought one for my office.
Pros: Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
