This will break on you!

This product broke about a year after my first use. Keurig immediately shipped me a replacement. Scroll forward a few years later and it has broken again. This time Keurig offered me a discount to told me to use my point to buy one at a reduced cost. Let me see Keurig, your product has now broke twice just from me using in the ways you have recommended. I also descale and clean the needles. So now, after spending thousands of dollars on your K-cups I am supposed to dish out more money for a new machine because you can't build something that lasts? NO thank you, I will pull out my old coffee maker which I am sure will still work and save myself some $$ in the meantime.
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My new favorite toy

I recently won this brewer in a raffle -- and it was the best [$] I ever spent. Having said that, I'll admit this is not an item that I would have considered buying before I started using it (it's a VERY expensive coffee maker). However, it's one of those products that makes you wonder how you've lived without it for so long. It not only makes coffee -- it also makes a wide variety of teas and hot chocolates too! So, I was skeptical when I took it out of the box. I thought if I brew a cup of coffee and then a cup of tea the flavors would mix. I was wrong. The reason this device is so ingenious is that you can go from brewing coffee to brewing tea to brewing hot chocolate in under a minute without having to boil water or grinding coffee grounds.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use, Stylish

I was a skeptic at first because of the cost and the concept, but have become a true believer! I have been using my machine daily now for several months and I love it! A great cup of coffe with no waste like I had with my conventional pot, throwing out as much as half each time. I like the many flavors and my wife likes the teas as well. Have been recommending to friends.

Makes a great cup of coffee

I waited quite a while before I decided to purchase the Keurig Brewer and we have enjoyed it ever since the purchase. It works like a charm and now our guests can pick and choose the coffee they want. We are very pleased with it and would certainly recomend it to a friend.

Keurig claims they resolved the problem

I received the Platinum Brewer as a Christmas gift. Had the same problem as many others: it would brew 1 cup then shut off. Received a replacement brewer and after a week it started doing the same thing. I just spoke to customer service. They said they finally determined the problem, on 2/3, to be with the programming of the internal computer. They are sending another replacement and they say I should not have the same problem with this one. I hope I don't because I really love my Keurig, and the coffee is delicious!

Cons: Shuts off automatically

awful coffee maker

Honestly, I love keurig coffee, however, it's getting the machine to work for more then a few months that bothers me. Normally customer service is wonderful, but today, I spent a hour on the phone with four different people who refused to help me. I finally got them to agree to replace it (this is my fourth brewer all with the SAME problem - the pump stops pumping) and they said they were doing it as a favor to me...well Keruig - thanks for the favor guys. The next favor I am going to do for you, is take my case to the attorney general as well as the BBB because I think there are some shady practices going on here. Especially where we all have the same issues. I urge everyone to do the same and lets put an end to this foolishness, un-necessary stress and bad business practices once and for all. Would I ever recommend them to anyone?? NOT after today - that's for darn sure!!

I bought this after being addicted to Keurig at work. It was GREAT for about 6 months and then started shorting us on coffee sizes. We would have to brew twice to get close to the size we had chosen. Then finally, it just QUIT brewing completely! No warning, nothing clogged and can't even Descale to get vinegar through again. I've been on the phone with Keurig 4 days in a row and they are still trying to get me to TRY other options to get it to work. If I pay $170 for a coffee maker and it stops working, I feel they should replace it after at least two days of talking to them. I have been without coffee for almost a week now!!!! I thought the customer service and replacement would be a LOT better!

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.
