I love my Keurig! I like Caffeine, my husband is a De-Caf drinker, my daughter likes flavored and my son is a tea drinker. This covers all our likes in just seconds! De-scaling is a pain, but then again, it was a pain with my other coffee maker. I LOVE my Keurig and will never give it up. When and if this one dies, I'm prepared to purchase another!

Not so Great!

The K-cups are weak, I feel like I'm drinking coffee flavored water. When I set the menu to the largest cup it only fills my cup 3/4 of the way. I love the idea of making a single cup of coffee at a time but think I will stick with my old BUNN 12 cup.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, Pricey / Poor Value

Too hard to clean

Loved it until the 30 day warranty was up and this message "Prime" came up on the window. It won't work until message goes away. I have done everything the book says (which isn't much), you're told to stick the end of a paper clip in the puncture holes...isn't technology great? But can't get it to go off for a reasonable amount of time. Can get it to go off long enough for 2-3 more cups, then it's back on again. Don't have time to fight with it in the mornings before work so end up going back to my old brewer (a free Gevalia) that still works great. I'm getting very frustrated, this was a lot of money and have to keep my old coffeemaker on counter for when this new fangled one lets me down!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Fast
Cons: Complicated, Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN

Started dying @ 18 months

A very attractive unit with pretty blue colored lights and a good looking/sleek profile. Unfortunately its durability is, IMHO, poor. I upgraded from the basic $99.99 (now $129.99) unit, which died at 11 months old, using some of my Platinum Reaward points. All was grand the first 18 months, then trouble settled in. I have never put anything through the unit except bottled water, so I know it is not a water quality issue. At about 18 months I had to "slap" the top of the unit to get it to brew. At 22 months, I had to slap the top and side of the unit to get it to brew. At 24 months it died a quiet, peaceful death. So, if you are looking for a trouble free unit for 18 months use, get one of these. If you are looking for a "work horse" get the "Office" model. It may not be as pretty as the Platinum and a bit noisy, but it will just keep on brewing.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

I have burnt plastic smel

I have had the Platinum series for three weeks and have yet had a cup of coffee from it , the coffee and machine smell like burning plastic, I have performed all of the solutions suggested by Keurig and nothing works, I am now waiting for a new water container so it will be another week before I receive it, a month and still no coffee. Very disapointed in the product, after this last solution fails I'm requesting a new mating.

I just bought this coffe maker. It is the best machine I have every owned. Its great for everyday use. It's great if you have people in your house that like different types of coffee.
