Worked well for 1 1/2 years, but then...

I was given this brewer as a gift for Christmas 2010. In the first week of June 2012, my brewer stopped working. Everything functions as it should, but the hot water never comes out. I followed all the troubleshooting recommendations, but nothing has worked. I called customer service and, in a short time, determined the unit is broken and out of warranty by six months. My only option is to purchase a reduced priced unit as a replacement. After someone spent [$] on a new brewer that lasted only 1 1/2 years, why would I invest more money for another brewer? I am very disappointed and will go back to my drip coffee maker that is still working after 7 years. The Keurig was very convenient, but too costly from where I stand. Hopefully others have better luck than me...
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Multiple Settings
Cons: Not Reliable, Pricey / Poor Value

My second Keurig

Every morning, put in a cup, send the dog outside and morning coffee is ready! My first Keurig lasted about 6 years, started having issues after five that descaling did not seem to affect so I finally replaced it with a new platinum. Now the Platinum has similar issues in the first year. Only a minute amount of water gets dispensed into the cup, the rest either wont come out or goes back into the water reservoir. Frustrating with an otherwise excellent problem. I do descale regulary and only use purified, Publix water.
Pros: Fast, Convenient
Cons: Technical Issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We rec'd Kreurig as a gift. Liked it so well, bought a second one for another house. Two friends each bought one after using ours. How disappointing to have it give out in just 18 months.
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wasted pile of money

After one year of light use this machine is done for. Descaling is a pain and is not the solution, although they will suggest that is the probelm. I could have bought a lot of Starbucks for the cost of the machine, guess I should have.
Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Third time (Charm or not?)

Two adults drink 2-4 cups per day/7 days a week. Having a cup when you want one and not having to brew a pot of coffee only to waste half of it is why we liked the idea of this brewer. We like using Eko-cups to use our own coffee because K-cups are expensive, but they're nice so we splurge sometimes. This is our third brewer. We bought the first one at [@]. We'd had it 6 months when it didn't come on one morning even though we'd descaled as recommended in instructions. Keurig told us we needed to use filtered water so we bought a PUR water filter and descaled even more often. The 2nd one(free from Keurig because it was within warranty) lasted 12 months and 3 days before it started giving problems. We eeked out more use until it just wouldn't work anymore. We'd descaled often and always used filtered water. After calling Keurig and trying to clean the needle and other fussing, the thing was obviously on its last leg so they sold us a new one at a reduced price. Customer service is excellent and we have no complaints on that. The problem is that the thing just doesn't last considering how expensive it is. The descaling process is a big pain. There should be a built in water filter with cheap filters available. We're hoping we can find another system that will use K-cups before this one poops out too.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast
Cons: Complicated, Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second brewer, The 1st one I had worked great and loved it, then 1 day after the warrenty expiered, mine stated leaking water, I called Keurig to see how to fix the problem, that's when they told me that my brewer was out of warrenty, that's my luck. Then the surprise that I thought wouldn't happen, Keurig sent me a brand new one, and this one has the lid that opens, I like this alot. The only thing I really don't like is were to power switch is located, I wish it was on the side or front to make easier to turn off and on. I have bought and given brewers to my Sons and freinds they love it. Thanks keurig.
Pros: Easy to use, Best brewer I ever had, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings

Too Much $$$$

I really enjoyed having this brewer. It was a time saver in the morning on my way to work. But like all the other reviews, it failed in less than 2 years. Since the warranty is only for one year The Keurig rep told me they would replace it for $79. Again, that's too much money for someting that's going to fail in a year or less. I'm going back to Gevalia.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
