I have had the platinum version for about 3 months now and have had absolutely no problems. This is the second brewer I have purchased (upgraded and took the old one to the office) and have had no issues. My friends love coming over to get to use the machine...they love being able to brew just what they want. I love that I don't waste a whole pot of coffee that may not be the flavor everyone wants.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

If only it was reliable!

This could be a great model if it were only reliable! It has all the sizes to include 12oz which when you look at the Select, Special Edition, and below models they only go up to 10oz. It has a large resevoir. One could easily give this a 4 or 5 if it just worked and was reliable. Our friends had to replace this model after 10 months and we are going out and buying the Cuisinart model for K-cups in hopes it is much more reliable.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Not durable, Not Reliable, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm getting my money back!

First, Keurig took 5 days longer than they said it would for me to get my order. Then, I had my machine for less than two weeks and it started messing up. No matter what size I selected, it kept brewing less and less coffee. Then the machine would unexpectedly power off on it's own. At first it would give me at least one cup of coffee before it decided to power off, now it won't turn on at all. I called Keurig and they offered to send me a new one but I just don't have time in my life for an expensive fussy coffee maker.
Pros: Stylish
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2nd System Same Problem

Unfortunately, I have now returned TWO of the Platinum systems back to the store where I bought them due to problems with the machine NOT feeding water into the heating resevoir to heat AND the machine constantly shutting itself off. I am too frustrated to get another and will go back to the old simpler version.

Cons: Doesn't feed water in

Until my house in another area sells my wife and I have been living separately. being a temporary bachelor it is great to have a one cup brewer. I enjoy coffee but have little time to prepare it. I get up and go downstairs and the brewer is on and ready to go. Minutes later I have coffe and am good to go. The variety is great and guest get to pick their brew. IF there is a down side every once and awhile I get a short cup but that is rarely. Priced well. Great coffee. I would recomment in a heart beat.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Convenient, Easy to use, Stylish

We've had all types of brewers, from Cuisinart to Mr. Coffee, and think Keurig is the best. We did have the same problem as others have reported with the first model (only dispensed the expresso portion) but took it back and got a replacement and couldn't be happier. We use it every day and love it!!
