The descaleing process could be a little frustrating but I found that if you use purified water....you wont need to descale often.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use, Durable, Multiple Settings, Fast

So Disappointed!

I used this every morning. While under warranty, it had to be replaced twice and the last replacement outlasted the warranty by about 8 months and now it's broken too! I did everything I should, descaling, etc.., but the pump went out! They always say "you get what you pay for" but not in this case! I bought the most expensive one.., won't do that again! Can't afford to do that again! The kcups are great but I would buy the cheapest one that way you won't have so much to lose when it stops working! Why can't Keurig make a machine that you can take apart to clean properly? why? Plus, I have bought 2 more of these same type brewers for work and the same thing happens to them! But luckily so far, they have been under warranty!! I'm just so frustrated because the coffee is great, wonderful, can't say enough about that, I would just like to get what I paid for - which would be: a durable, long-lasting, easily maintainable brewer! I'm really so bummed out..., ;(

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Works when it wants to

I have had this brewer for about 16 months now, and I have had problems on and off since month #2. When it works it is wonderful, but almost the entire time I've had it, it has sporadic bouts of crazy behavior, sometimes it won't brew more than a few ounces even when set on a bigger brew size, sometimes says "brewing" while nothing happens, it pumps in waaaaay more water than it needs sometimes and then pumps it back into the tank, but sometimes it doesn't spit it back out....where does it go?! Sometimes the pump won't work at all. It often freaks out if I try to brew a size other than my usual size. No amount of troubleshooting or descaling has helped. In fact the only thing that actually DOES help sometimes when it won't start brewing is to give it a slap on the very top of the unit. I WOULD give three and almost four stars because when it works its great, but for the price of the brewer and the price of the kcups, I shouldn't ever have to slap my brewer. I hope the next generation of this brewer is better crafted, because I do love the system.

I'm on my third Keurig brewer in about two years. I keep having the same problem with the brewer displaying "prime" on the screen and it will not brew until I remove and replace the water tank. I have the 'auto on' feature set so when I wake up in the morning I dont have to wait for the machine to warm up and there is nothing more annoying than finding out that the machine has not warmed up because of this "prime" defect. I love the idea of the single cup brewer, but these issues have me considering switching to another brand with less problems. The only reason I have yet to do so is because they do keep replacing the unit for free (besides what it costs me to mail the k cup holder back) and I have several boxes of K cups that I refuse to waste.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Fast, Stylish
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Use for personal and with friends. I don't know how durable it is as I am new to the unit, however I am very impressed. I take K-Paks with me in case the school I teach that day has a unit in the lounge! Not obsessed, I just like the convience. At home, my most valued appliance! Yes, even more than the microwave.
