My 1st B70 failed (would not pump) just under the 1 year warranty and was promptly replaced. I was a happy camper at the time. However, the replacement failed in similar fashion (also wouldn't pump) approximately 5 months later. I cleaned both pots religiously as directed but that did not prevent either failure. Being a slow learner and having nearly $200.00 of k-cups on hand, I'll be purchasing another this morning.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Highly recommend. Bought one for the office about a year ago. It works so well, and makes such great coffee every time that at least five co-workers have bought the smaller version for their homes. Great selection of coffees and teas available from multiple makers (e.g. Timothy's, Van Houtte, Green Mountain, Emeril's, ...). Don't recommend using the hot chocolate. Never tried it myself, but I've heard it can clog the machine. It's been working like a charm until last week when it went locked into "Not Ready" mode. No problem, Keurig is replacing free of charge. From what I can gather on the Interweb, it looks like there was a bad batch manufactured and Keurig is aware of the serial numbers of the problem brewers.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use, Easy to clean

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

We have four coffee drinkers in our house, all with different tastes. This is a perfect life saver for our family. I could have my bold and my husband could have his flavored and there is never a waste.

Auto on/off Function

I love my Keurig and was very upset when the descale light came on after 6 months and when I descaled it, it stopped brewing and the descale light stayed on. After a few customer service calls, Keurig gladly is replacing my machine which I hope arrives any minute! After reading other reviews in which some of the same issues I had are posted, I am wondering if using the auto on/off function may be a smart idea to let it "rest" at night. I am going to try that this time along with using spring water to see how that works.
Pros: Brews great coffee, Can make variety
Cons: Can be confusing

We are on our third brewer in 11 months! The two brewers we had both stopped working for different reasons, making me believe it's the build, not something on my end. The first brewer just kept turning off and wouldn't brew. This brewer short cups, then brews a thimble sized amount and the just stops. I follow all the guidelines in the manual as far as water and filters go. Every time I call customer service they make me go through the same troubleshooting. I can understand why, but when I'm calling for the same reason in less than 3 days, I shouldn't have to troubleshoot. My mother in law feels awful because it was a Christmas gift from her. If this last one breaks, I'm done with Keurig. I love the ease of use of the machine, the assortment of K Cups, and the travel mug setting. Otherwise I wouldn't wish this frustration on anyone.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Unreliable, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the Platinum unit Dec. 2008, by Dec. 2009 (when the 12 month warranty expired), it died on me. It had been experiencing inconsistent results approx 6 months into ownership and progressively declined in the remaining months. I thoroughly enjoyed my brewer when I first received it. It is unfortunate that it didn't hold up longer than a year. Maybe I'll consider the Cuisinart model next time--Maybe theirs is a more durable model? I'm hopeful that Keurig will improve on their mechanic/electronic functioning of their brewers, otherwise, I was pleased. One other note--They need to produce more 'milk-based' products since their hot chocolate blends lack in the 'creamyness' of milk and rich flavor.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Multiple Settings
