Only 2 years? REALLY!?

I bought the Platninum Brewer two years ago thinking it would be a good investment since I love coffee. NOT!! After nearly $200 and only 2 years my brewer is kaput. After cleaning the entrance and exit needles didn't work, I was told I was going to have to replace it. The sad part about it is I only used it on the weekends. I am SORELY disappointed at the value I got from this brewer. I should have just gotten a little $10 coffeemaker. The old adage is you get what you pay for. I thought I was getting a coffemaker that would last me for a while. 2 years? That's ridiculous!
Pros: Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keurig is wonderful

Had a Tassimo and found it noisy and had a very limited amount of taste choices. My keurig has become my best friend for a delicious and fast cup of coffee anytime of the day or night.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Fast

Originally I thought the k cup was the cats meow. I read where others ran into problems with their machines but I thought I would give a B70 a try. Well, here it is a little over a year and I am one of those people. I descaled the machine every 3 months and used only distilled water for brewing, now it will not even descale. So, I have $80.00 worth of kcup coffee with no way to brew it. Shame on the company for making such a weak product. One last thing is why does keurig keep giving the canned answer of "using brewers consistent their intended use". Tons of people are using them this way and still get a machine that is useless in such a short time. I say just print on the box in big bold letters THIS MACHINE WILL ONLY LAST AROUND A YEAR. Then the people are informed.

Going strong after daily use for 3 years

I can alternate between k cups and my own freshly ground coffee because I got gold mesh basket that I can rinse/wash and reuse. K cups have gotten much more expensive so I make a lot of use of the basket so that I can grind my own coffee and use that. I don't have any complaints. I bought the platinum model 3 years ago and it has had daily use since then. I've never had to repair it. I keep it in an area that allows it to stay dry on the bottom.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast

as have many others, mine stopped working after warranty ran out. what a rip off. paid [$] for the darn thing. never again!!

Received this unit for Christmas in 2009. Approximately 8 months ago, unit started making 1/4, 1/2 cups of coffee. Other times it just wouldn't work at all. Called customer service, they stated to try certain remedies like descaling with vinegar and attempting to unjam the needle with a paper clip. They would not offer replacing unit as it was out of warranty period but would let me buy another for 79.95. I'm a little upset because I see so many posts on how helpful the customer service department was and how generous they were in replacing the unit even though it was 15 months or more after the original purchase or stated unit was out of warranty. If I already spent almost 200.00 on a unit that only lasted 18 months, why would I buy another, even at a discounted price?
Cons: Complicated, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

The automatic timer might seem like an unneeded extra, until you actually get to live with it day-to-day. My Platinum brewer makes very good coffee at just the right temperature. The multiple cup size selections make it extraordinarily easy to nail the perfect fill on any travel mug - mine happens to be 14 oz, so a 6 oz and 8 oz give me exactly the right amount.
Pros: Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Easy to use

Awesome, while they are working

I absolutely love this Keurig, while it is wokring good. The first one lasted about 3 months, the second one lasted about 3 days. It is really frustating to have such an awesome product that is unreliable. Hopefully I have just got two duds. [@]has an awesomer return policy so I have not had any issues there. Going to try a 3rd one. Maybe 3rd times the charm.

Cons: Does Not Last, Pricey / Poor Value
