Good coffee for a price

Use the Keurig several times a day, that be in the morning for tea or coffee, or in the afternoon for that after dinner cup of coffee. Positives are the single cup feature, all the different choices of flavor you have, and the time it takes to make a cup of coffee. If I have one complaint, it has to be the price of the K-cups. We buy the 80 count packs at [@], and save a little that way. If you take care of it, descale and keep the needles clean, it will last for a long time. If not, you will have issues. There is a reason for the maintenance, so stick with it!
Pros: Fast, Durable, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Price of K-cups

Stops working after a year

Within a couple of months the unit started making a horrible loud noise when it would pump.After a year our platinum started giving out much less than the selected cup sizes. We've regularly descaled it. But even choosing the largest size we end up getting possibly 1/8 of a cup every time. We love the keurig coffee but we're not going to spend another [$] + taxes on another unit that's going to fail.Also, my parents bought this same unit and the exact same behavior and timing happened to the point they just stopped using it.Several people at work have experienced the same issues. One person says he's had his for over a year and has no complaints.
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes, Noisy

Problems

We have a Special Edition brewer and the Platinum Edition brewer. Since day one of our purchase of the Platinum edition, we have suffered through attempts to clear the annoying "Prime" message. You can't brew until the message clears and we have gone through all the suggested steps in the handbook. It has been moved to a box and the Special Edition is still going strong. I thought we were getting a better machine, but we didn't.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Prime signal is an issue

love my KEURIG

I started many years ago with a basic Keureg,2 settings.It lasted for years.I decided I wanted the iced coffee option so I gave my cousin my original and purchased the pricier unit.It broke in less than a year,they replaced it no problem,This unit lasted 13 months everyday use and finally died suddenly,I called the company and to my suprise they replaced it .Angela was the rep and couldnt have been nicer.Obviously there is a defect because of all the issues Ive read about in about the same time frame but you cant complain when a company has such an outstanding customer service.Never have I felt so satisfied with a company.They obviosly value their customers otherwise they would leave you hanging like soooo many other companies that want nothing to do with you once the warranty is past.KUDOS to KEUREG

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Our first Keurig - LOVE it!

We were not really coffee drinkers because teenagers in the house. Since getting our Keurig we all drink now. NO MESS! Before the teens would leave coffee in pot and get a thick layer of mold after a few days. Now, just get the cup you want and we are good to go.

I would not recommend this coffeemaker to anyone not worth the price I paid for it.. should have bought another type of coffeemaker. Only lasted less than 1 year and was not heavily used for coffee brewing

2nd One Died!

After 11 months, the brewer said "descale". I put a gallon of vinegar in the water tank, but the only thing I got was vinegar tasting water. The descale indicator did not disappear. However, the pump also stopped working. The first one was returned and I received the same model free of charge. Happy coffee drinker for less than 11 months and now the same problems. The temperature is not consistent and not as hot as it is set to be. Very disappointed. Ready to go back to the old faithful.. Mr. Coffee drip.

"PRIME " Problem

We had our first brewer for 5 months and it worked great until it started saying "PRIME", went through all suggested steps, called customer service and they sent out a new Brewer, before we received the new one ours stopped working, couldn't get it to prime. We had the new one less than 2 weeks and it started with the same problem, saying PRIME. This happened every day, multiple times for a week. After speaking to customer service twice for the issue, they are sending me another Brewer......We are hoping that this one will be the perfect one.....It was a big investment buying the Brewer, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. We really love the system and coffee, teas, etc....Customer service has been absolutely wonderful and very helpful, THANKS.
