Pointless, wasteful and expensive

My work place recently tossed out our seasoned drip pot for this expensive machine. After the "ooh a and aahhs" passed, we each took a turn brewing a cup of coffee. My first observation was that each cup of coffee requires its own foil and plastic container to later be thrown away. If I want to make cup of fresh-ground, higher quality brew, I have to exchange parts, fill a small filter, and take care of an unnecessary mess while using more water than a drip pot or french press would require---all for a single serving! Quite frankly, this product simply exists for single-cup, lazy, wealthy coffee drinkers who like to think pressing a lever makes them a barista. There is nothing wrong with grinding your own coffee or making a full pot. There are plenty of machines that do this but allow you to pour one cup at a time. The price, quality and amount of waste has led me to start bringing my own little french press to work, and to silently judge each client who uses the Keurig.
Pros: Fast, Good for lazy people
Cons: Poor quality coffee, Creates SO much waste, Pricey / Poor Value

HATE THE "NEW" PLATINUM MODELS!

I HAD MY B70 APPROX. 4 MONTHS BEFORE IT STOPPED PULLING WATER FROM THE RESERVOIR. OK NO BIG DEAL, I READ THE REVIEWS PRIOR TO PURCHASING THE MACHINE & I AM FULLY AWARE THE LONGEVITY OF THESE MACHINES ARE SUB PAR. SO SINCE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY KEURIG WAS GRACIOUS ENOUGH TO SEND ME A NEW MODEL. I RECEIVED IT TODAY TO FIND THAT IT'S NOT THE SAME B70 I HAD BEFORE, IT'S MODIFIED, IN A HORRIFIC WAY! I CHOOSE TO PURCHASE THE PLATINUM MODEL BECAUSE I FOUND IT VISUALLY APPEALING. I LOVED THE CHROME FINISHES ON MY MACHINE, NOW I HAVE A BULKY COFFEE MAKER WITH PLASTIC HANDLES. SO BASICALLY I WAS GIVEN A BIGGER WATER TANK BUT AT THE COST OF QUALITY. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SINCE. SHOULDN'T I HAVE THE OPTION AS THE CONSUMER TO CHOOSE IF I WANTED TO "UPGRADE" MY PLATINUM MODEL. NOPE, I HATE IT. SAME HANDLE AS THE MINI BREWERS WHICH ARE CHEAP PLASTIC HANDLES. YUCK! YOU REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS ONE KEURIG. SIGNED A DISAPPOINTED FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER!

Love this brewer

This brewer coould be used in a small office, eliminating the need for a more expensive model. One design flaw. The water tank does not empty all the way, causing the brewer to prevent further brewing until water is added. It seems to me that a better system would be to place a warning at this point and then stop brewing when the tank is completely empty. Just a suggestion for the Keurig engineers. :)

This machine is not very durable. I am on my third machine in less than 2 years. If I didn't love the ease of the K cups I would go back to a Pot!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Had to replace 2 times, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

Can't say a bad word about this product love everything about it! I did alot of research on single serve makers before my purchase and I found this one was an all around good match!

LOVE this brewer, with one exception..

This is perfect for a home with two devoted coffee drinkers - one that craves strong and black and the other that covets decaf and flavored. Impossible to accomodate these disparate tastes with other brewing methods so this works perfectly for us. One downside - the unit is constantly short-cupping - regardless of the number of times we de-scale. Design flaw? Hopefully something Keurig will address in the future.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Durable
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

I'm on my fourth, yes fourth, Keurig in three years. One was actually a replacement sent to me by Keurig. Many family members have purchased a Keurig after being amazed by eachothers. All of us have had problems. We are constantly descaling. Calling customer service for tips. Three of us have had ours replaced by Keurig. Now that I know the machine only lasts a year (if lucky), I'm purchasing the less pricey one and will consider it disposable. Love the concept. Love the coffee and convenince, but hardly consider this a great purchase. A coffee machine should last longer! Also, have gone through gallons of vinegar by having to descale often. Yes, I use filtered water.

Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN, Many problems

Worked Great

Just introduced to this brewing system on a visit to my brother's. It worked great for the whole week that I was there. Both He and I are daily coffee drinkers and through the whole time it brewed a great cup of coffee with no mess and no fuss. They have had it a couple of years my brother said and haven't had any problems what-so-ever. My sister-in-law did say she gives it an occasional vinegar rinse.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, No clean up, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
