Excellent coffee for busy mornings, but

I use my Keurig everyday and my wife will use it occasionally. She only drinks decaf unlike myself I like the leaded coffee to get my day going. We purchaed a Keurig because of our different tastes in coffee it is much easier than wasting a whole pot of coffee so you can make some decaf. However this is our third machine in 8 months. We use reverse-osmosis (RO) water in the machine which means there are no minerals, particles or chlorine. I flush the machine with purified water weekly and have flushed the second machine with vineagar once as directed in the instructions. Although this shouldn't have been necessary since I am using RO water. I called Keurig customer service when my first machine and they were rude and not helpful. They kept telling me things like the K-cups has too much air. Well, ok I didn't design or make the K-cups. Then they told me Starbucks K-Cups don't work well with their machine. Seems to be a design flaw somewhere. It was not like I was using products that don't go with the machine. I am using K-Cups sold at [@]. Thankfully my original purchase was made at [@] and their return policy is superior. No time limit and no questions asked. Aside from the hastle of boxing it back up and unpacking a new one three times it is a great machine for your daily cup of joe. It is too bad the machine is poorly made because it really makes a great coffee. The bummer is that I would never trust it for a party or mass production. This is when my I pull out my trsuted Farberware percolater. Good luck!

I love using my Keurig. I am disappointed that I had to purchase a second one 16 months later. I use the filters but I did not clean it with vinegar every 3-4 months. I will try this with my new one and hopefully I won't have problems with this one...
Pros: Great coffee, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast
Cons: Replaced 16 months

Won't last the year

What a frustration! When I started working at this office, we had a Plantinum maker that was less than one year old when it stopped working. After some fairly frustrating troubleshooting with Keurig, we were sent another one. Less than a year later, it too has stopped working. (On a day when we had 10 guests in for a meeting, no less.) Again, I went through two rounds of trouble shooting with the Keurig techs before they agreed to send me another. I told them that I did not want another of the same and was told that I'd have to wait for a call from a different Keurig employees before an upgrade could be authorized. That's where I am now. No coffee, and no patience for this model.
Cons: Breaks, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Even using distilled water does not help. One after the other broke down.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Wonderful

We have had our model for 18 months now with very few problems and a much more enjoyable coffee experience. I still grind my own coffee and use a re-usable filter when I want a good cup of tar and the machine accommodates this. We were having a terrible time for several weeks with clogs. Paper clips, vinegar, nothing seemed to work until we discovered if we actually place the k-cup hard enough to puncture the bottom and then closed it we had no more problems. We haven't had a clog since and guests are always excited to choose the kind of coffee they want as well as the strength. I doubt I will ever find coffee as strong as I prefer to use with this machine, but morning prep and the occasional after dinner cup is so much nicer now.
Pros: Fast, Durable, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Can not empty reservoir

I LUV Keurig, HATE this model.

I had mine for 2 years and it started to only brew half a cup on the regular cup and large cup setting. I cleaned it and descaled it. I did everything the manual said to do. I even Googled it. This was a year ago. I just never got around to returning it because I still love Keurig! I just had to brew it twice to get a full cup. I finally returned it for a refund. I will buy the Elite one. We have it at work and it works great.

Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

So Far Just A Great Product

We just purchased the platinum version based off of friends usage and all we can say is this is just one great machine. The coffee sampled so far taste great and the ease of use & speed cannot be beat. I see this being used alot & often.

I have to say that when I first saw the keurig, I thought to myself "who would pay this price for a coffee maker?" I then enjoyed a cup of coffee from this machine. The flavor you get from keurig coffee makers is hands down, so much more flavorful. I normally drink coffee all day and I like the flavored and more bold coffees, while my husband likes the more mild blends. Now that I have a keurig I can have whatever flavor I am in the mood for and he can still have his. I purchased mine 2 days after my first taste from a keurig. My children(young adults) are now drinking coffee too and also enjoy hot chocolate. I use mine when I'm cooking and need boiling water also. Like for instant oatmeal or even regular meals. I tend to be a "penny pincher, and clearance shopper" but this is one purchase that I am willing to splurge on. I can enjoy coffee in the morning, fresh iced tea/coffee in the afternoon and hot chocolate or spiced cider to wind down in the evening. It doesn't get any better.
