My initial review of the platinum brewer

My initial review is all raves for now but I will update my reviews accordingly as time goes by.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Less wasted coffee, Fast
Cons: Expensive portion cups

Great Cup Of Coffee

I brew a fresh cup of coffee every morning before work. I no longer have to stop at the local coffee shop for an overpriced cup on the way to work. It saves me time and money. I like that there is no mess to clean up after making a cup What I like best about my Keurig is the customer service that came with it. After 5 months of use my B70 quit. It would no longer brew a cup of coffee. I called customer service and they stepped me through a few simple troubleshooting procedures but when they weren't able to resolve the issue they arranged to ship me a new brewer (free of charge). That's customer service!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Fast, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Great Machine

I had a previous machine which failed and couldn't be repaired.....but I called customer service and they gave me a ONE-TIME replacement. I've had no trouble since. This company really stands behind their product!!!!!! I'm really so satisfied with the product so much that I gave 3 of them as Christmas gifts through [@] at a substantial bargain which I couldn't pass up.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Complete and repeated failure

Three strikes and you are out. Bought the uber expensive platinum only to have it fail after a couple of weeks of heavy use (New toy, kids liked hot chocolate) customer service was pathetic and exchange was difficult (store policy and Keurig policy) Got second one through store and like clockwork it failed in 2 weeks. Third try acted up in 3 weeks and failed completely within 3 months. Now store and Keurig wants nothing to do with me and I have an expensive unrepairable paperweight. Two other keurigs failed at work and two others failed with friends. Basically the whole line is an expensive piece of [*].
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine the second time around

The first model I received had to be cleaned frequently. I purchased a special cleaner from Kuerig that seemed to work very well with just one run thriugh. Then I received a message from Kuerig that if I used the cleaner, I must replace my machine as the cleaner was found to produce mould. I received a replacement machine and found it superior in every way to my old one. Maybe the design was also changed. But this brewer takes less time and delivers more coffee for each setting. As such I will give it five stars. I haven't had it long enough to require a cleaning so I am not sure if this will last.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Addicting!

I purchased this brewer as my annual Christmas gift to myself. I am so glad that I waited as I originally was contemplating purchasing the mini brewer. I absolutely L-O-V-E this brewer! Since I purchased this item, I tried a co-workers mini-brewer and more than likely I would have been disappointed since my Keurig is so much more convenient to use. I now find myself brewing in the late afternoon and evening, whether it be coffee, apple cider, cocoa or tea. Can't wait for the warmer weather to start drinking my favorite warm weather beverage - iced coffee. Keurig you have me addicted!

I just received this model yesterday and I love the look. I had the older model for 2 years without any problems ever. I decided to upgrade for the newer model for my birthday and couldn't be happier. I love the color, love the look, love the coffee. I can't wait to pass the older one over to my daughter-inlaw for her to experience the Keurig craze.

Troublesome brewer, terrific service.

Purchased first Keurig in Feb 2010, by the end of September 2010, got no more than 3-4 oz per brew, tried recommended cleaning, once alone, once w/service rep on phone, better 1 day than short cup again. Called service explained and received new machine in 4 days. Happy, but only for awhile. Second machine worked well UNTIL December 2011 then would just turn off by itself and not brew at all. LCD would go out, but tank stayed lit, no pump action. Called service and within 15 minutes was confirmed new machine would be on it's way. Five horrible days of no Kcups,then the new machine arrived!! Fingers crossed, we will see how long we get. Brewer definately has issues, but the taste, conveinance and ease of the Keurig, coupled with the GREAT customer service has left me a very happy Kcup user.

Cons: Noisy, Fragile
