Bought it in Nov 09, currently May 10, Use it 6-8 times a day, has to be de-scaled every other month but I didn't mind, it has officially died, refuses to pump. For what I paid, I would really like it to last more than six months. And I am embarrassed that I gave these as xmas gifts, knowing they are shoddy!
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile, Frequent Cleaning, Refuses to pump
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of Problems...

I am already on my 3rd machine the first I returned to the store to exchange after 1 month it kept turning itself off and not feeding the water to brew. The second machine same thing after 1 month[...]Now another month has gone by and my 3rd machine is doing the same thing! Turning off even though it is set not to and not feeding the water through so I can make coffee. Save your self the aggravation DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!

I received my Keurig from my boys for Christmas. Everyone in my family uses it several times a day for hot coffee, ice coffee, tea, hot chocolate, you name it. My husband and I both like to try new types of coffee and flavors. I'm surprised to hear that so many people are having problems with their machines. Mine (knock on wood) has been working just fine and believe me we use it non-stop. The only thing is that it is hard to clean and I wish the ice coffee option could be done in the various sizes. Otherwise, the coffee is always hot and fresh.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Durable
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Defective Electronics?

I began my Keurig days a couple years ago with a basic brewer and loved it 99%. The 1% I did not love was the noise it made while brewing. Late 2009 I decided to upgrade to the Keurig Platinum Series B70 Quiet Brewer after seeing a family members same brewer, and loved it. My first B70 mostly brewed partial cups of coffee, and/or would shut off mid cup or not power up when turned on again. My replacement would turn on, but would not power up or heat the water and just shut itself off. It never made 1 cup of coffee. My third and current B70 turns on but continually shuts off after 4 or 5 attempts to power up. It will then stay powered on, brew 1 cup, then power off right away. It has also brewed partial cups as well. Seriously, is it too much to ask, to receive a brewer that is NOT defective? I love the ease of making a cup at a time and switching up brews and flavors, but what is the problem with the electronics inside this brewer? I want a working Keurig Platinum Series Quiet Brewer. Keurig, are you listening??

Wonderful way to start the day

This system is amazing!!! Recieved the Keurig as a gift, the old coffee maker is now collecting dust. Hot coffee in less than a minute. And so many different varieties of coffee to choose from..... All of my friends who have used my system are going out to buy their own Keurig. You won't be disappointed!!

Loyal Keurig family!

This is our second Keurig system. We upgraded to the B70 from our original 2004 model just this month after 6 years with the first one! We absolutely love it - we love the whole system! We have purchased several systems for family and friends over the years, and they all love them, too. And, it's a HUGE money saver, too! No more putrid, burnt, expensive coffee and chain establishments! I just wish the reservior was bigger!

Love our Keurig

We bought our current Platinum system in June 07 and it's still working (almost 3 years). We have very hard water so, we did learn with our first unit, which lasted a year, that filtered water is the best to use otherwise it gets clogged up. We use ours daily, making 8 cups a day and, at times, use it to heat water when brewing loose teas. It's great when company comes over because everyone can choose their own tea or coffee. We recommended it to our daughter and hers has been going a year now. Again, filtered water is a must for keeping it running and for the best in coffee and tea taste.
