I love my Keurig. I have it for about two years. Still works like a dream. There is a Keurig at my part time job, doctor's office, and hairdresser.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

My wife and I drink 2 cups of coffee each,every morning.However, this must be to much of a workload for this machine. Just after the warranty ran out the pot quit working. For that kind of money I expect more than that

Water pump issues

Great looks, but the water pump failed and unit stopped working, [...]...second unit lasted a month and ....water pump failed. I am going to replace it with a different model. [...] will switch models for me. Too much drama with this unit.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Mechanical failure
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fragile? Errr, what?

I just posted a review so that I could speak to some of the comments here. Now maybe something's gone wrong with the manufacturing of this model since I bought it over a year ago. All I know is that what some people are saying just isn't true. Fragility: This I don't even understand. Here's my story: When moving to my new place, the Keurig was accidentally dropped for the first time onto the concrete outside. Due to the weight balance it landed on the right rear bottom corner from a fall of about 5 feet. Aside from a crack on that corner, the machine is still working with no issues whatsoever. This impressed me more than I can express here. Cleaning: I think I've done a full descale once since I've owned it. Once. Needle's only clogged up once. I think it has more to do with how you use it than the device itself; the only times I had even remote issues here was when I tried to use the My KCup (a horrible system, BTW). Other than that, nothing. But then I only use purified water, not tap water. No...the only negative I would have about this device is its use of water. It doesn't quite make sense. Hard to describe but...if you fill the reservoir to the brim, then brew a cup, it pulls water in. That's fine. But then when it's done with the cup, it pulls more water in even if you're not brewing another cup. I assume this is to prep for another cup, but if you turn the device off for that day and come back another day, it's sucking more water in. What happened to the other water? That's about my only complaint, because it lessens the amount of cups I could be brewing. Other than that it's a solid device, and I have recommended it to many people.

I have not had any problems with this machine (Thank Goodness!). I've read the other reviews and was really surprised to hear of the problems/failures. I would buy this machine all over again! The coffee tastes great! The machine is very easy to use, etc. After first purchasing the Tassimo Brand, I later replaced the Tassimo with the Keurig. I like my coffee black, and the Tassimo just was too bitter. Again, I love my Keurig!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish

Stopped brewing after 1 week.... I watched 2 see what was going on & why it would stop in the middle of brewing... I saw it was not getting water into the brewer... Adjusted the water tank & it's been working ever sense...Only gave it 4 stars cause nothing is perfect....

Unbelieveable ... same problem here

We purchased the platinum unit about 1 year ago ... It has worked beautifully until about 1 month ago and it has started to become very fickle and fail. I have to unplug the machine to "reset it" or it doesn't brew. It will sound as if it is going to brew, but no water is pulled through the system. I have to unplug it, disconnect the water chamber, then reset it and it then brews -- but produced more than just 1 cup of coffee. I have to have a large cup there for the overflow. For the purchase price of nearly $200, I can't believe I'm reading these other reviews. I plan to call Keurig and ask for a replacement. If not, I'm going back to Tassimo. Jimmy, Austin, Texas.

Got it as a gift and faked a happy response because i loved my classic coffee maker. Put it out to show I liked it (while planning o stash it soon) ended up surprisingly loving it. No more problems with making too much or too little coffee. Tastes great. Just wisk travel mugs fit better. Mom is a traditional boil the water for tea girl. Slipped her some from this and she loved it too. Just bought her one this weekend. Love it.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Durable, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes
