great customer service for a replacement

My husband is a medical resident and makes a cup of coffee every morning. I am a stay at home mom and have coffee/tea when I feel like it, but not daily. We got our first platinum for Christmas after our first child was born. I was sick of making and cleaning up 2 pots of coffee because I was drinking decaf and he wasn't. We picked the platinum edition because it could fill up a large to go mug! The first one died around 11 months (wouldn't turn on at all) and we had no issues with customer service sending us a replacement or being on hold for hardly any time. The replacement one just started short cupping us (once again around 11 months) and I just called. After 25 minutes and going over how the machine functions I have a new machine on the way. I also called when my parent's keurig broke and they were sent one with no issues. Of course being a stay at home mom I can call at 9:30 am (EST) which is probably not a busy calling time for them. The only thing I don't like about keurig is the price of the coffee. I still buy regular tea bags, hot chocolate, and apple cider in the grocery store then just run hot water through the keurig to make a glass (it's insanely cheaper). Besides that we love our keurig coffee brewer.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Fast
Cons: Fragile

Yesterday I received my SIXTH brewer. I have had five different platinum brewer units over the past 3 years. None have lasted more than 9 months. The problems range from leaking water all over my counter top to failure to produce coffee. The pumps run, but despite full external reservoirs, all I get is noise and flashing blue lights that indicate empty reservoirs. When the units have worked, they are excellent, but it's been my misfortune that none of them work for very long. My most previous unit lasted less that 3 months. And so far, Keurig has replaced each of the failed units - but I had to argue with the rep the last time to get a replacement. He kept insisting on replacing only the external reservoir. I love the idea of the Keurig brewer, but I wish the company would get their engineering department to find and fix the flaws in the design. This has been a very frustrating experience.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy, Not durable, Fragile

My Army unit got one from Keurig about 3 months ago while deployed to Iraq and we love this machine. We make around 20-30 cups a day with this machine and have had absolutly no problems with it. I thought the Keurig coffee makers were over priced and not worth the money until we got this for our unit. I am getting one for my house when I get back from deployment.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Durable, Multiple Settings, Easy to use

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Bought this machine because I hate to make a pot of half a pot and not drink it all. I know others who have one and just adore the machine. Coffe tastes great. Great for the family. And the fact that you can make iced coffee in the summer is the bomb. The only down side to the awesomeness of this machine is that not all coffee and tea makers have k-cups for their products.

Just some Infow what you need to clean,like kcup holder twist a partand clean with paper clip the pins.The tank holds the water,their is a screen that water gose threw to the pump.It Gets pluged as well.The water level in cups acts up too.

A lot of money for not a long life

The pump seems to go out on this before the year is up. I had the 1st one replaced under warranty. The 2nd one lasted a yr and the pump was gone on it also. Family members have had their's and not had these problems. I clean mine and they don't. Maybe I shouldn't be so clean? I also use purified water.

Beware there is a problem with the pump and hot water ends up back in the water container, After several phone calls to technical support for problem solving and being told it needed to be cleaned with vinegar the problem still persisted. Ended up throwing unit in garbage. [$] and only one year of use.
Pros: Variety of selections, Convenience, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Engineering flaw, Pump stops working

have had a little over a year and the water pump started to malfunction. called customer service twice & sending replacement machine. i wish all companies had this excellent customer service. recently had 42" lcd go bad and company would NOT help us out at all.
