My B70 lasted for 1 year and 10 months. In reading reviews ours must be a record in longevity before it bellied up. But belly up it did. It began with the 1/2 cup routine and then the de-scale notification and after going through all the hoops it still came back de-scale.it finally ended up flooding water out the bottom and that was it. Of course the warranty was long gone. The sad part is that it was such a great method to make coffee with. Our friends would come in and enjoyed brewing their own cup. It is a shame that the unit is another pricey piece of chinese junk. Keurig is great to deal with and you would think they would fix this gigantic problem but apparently, their money is in the coffee and not the coffee maker. Too bad!!!
Pros: Very convienient and fast, Friends loved using it, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Noisy, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On my 2nd Platinum Brewer in less than 2 years. Most expensive coffee maker I have ever owned and the most troublesome. 1st one wouldn't stop making short cups and was replaced. 2nd one won't even fill with water to brew a cup. Always use the Keurig water filter and clean with vinegar once a month. Called Keurig 4 days ago and still waiting to speak with a technical person. Very, very disappointed.
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first one I had was great for about a month. Then it would run but no water would come out then I would have turn the machine on and off in order to use. What a pain.... But Keurig stood behind thier product...they sent me a new on I have had it for 3 months now longer than the first one. I am so happy. I love it. It's only me in my house that drinks it. My son loves the hot apple cider and hot chocolate. 5 STARS! Now my boyfriend wants one for his house.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Having a small Keurig coffee maker, I decided to go with one which gave more cup/mug sizes and settled on the Platinum. I am not disappointed. It brews a great cup of coffee and works on the three different sized mugs/cups that I own. From a simple, regular tea cup to my large travelling mug. I always enjoyed the K-cups and now I can enjoy them even more.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great at first, don't expect it to last

When the unit was new, it was great. Makes very good coffee, fast and with a variety of choices. However, the unit not dependable. I've used nothing but distilled and reverse osmosis water with it, and in less than a year I'm having the cup not filling issues. Keurig said it was a water problem or a K-Cup problem with the K-Cup being "over pressurized". Keurig now said to put the K-cups in and press them down over the bottom needle before closing the top, which goes against their warnings in the manual. And if you forget to hold the top open, the top needle punctures the top of your hand/fingers. Clearly there are some issues in the design considering the number of other folks that have the same problems. For Keurig to blame the water used, shows they don't understand the properties and quality of water when they designed this unit.
Pros: Great coffee, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy, Problematic, Not dependable, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't like the pre-measured k-cups ... I use the custom k-cup adapter to brew my own types of coffee ... it takes a bit of experimentation but once the desired strength/boldness levels are established the system delivers consistent results
Pros: No wasted grounds, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Everyone gets choice, Easy to use, Fast, Low Power Consumption, Multiple Settings
Cons: Won't fit under cabinets, Doesn't work for cold tea
I would recommend this to a friend!

2nd Replacement in less than a year

Bought first one Nov 2009 received in Feb 2010 (was out of stock). Lasted roughly 8 months. Had to get it replaced which they did under warranty. Simply stopped brewing. Now about 8 months later, Oct. 2011, have to get 2nd one (replacement) replaced. Has stopped brewing. I'm active in keeping these cleaned and descaled. Surely these machines should last longer than 8 months for the price we pay for them.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Noisy, 2nd one in less than a yr
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ours died last Thursday! We bought it in early December. We only use filtered water. They are sending a new one and will get in about a week. Good customer service but a long-lasting machine that costs [$] would be better
