The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Problems from the start.

This was given as a birthday gift in Aug 2010. I did have some problems getting it set up, but attributed that to me. However it would work great for a couple of days and then would start the problems. I babied this Keurig and cleaned and descaled regularly. I have worked with this for a year and finally in Sept, it just quit completely. Light is off on the brew side, I can hear the pump struggling, water will run through if you don't go through a K-cup or the other filter. I have wasted over a carton of Kcups. I called Customer Service and they could not have been any more courteous, but was unable to help. Now that I have retired, I looked forward to that fresh cup of coffee anytime of the day and the fact that is would always be fresh and ready for a travel mug too. Very disappointed in this unit as I live alone and take very good care of my appliances.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Fast, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

I loved my brewer for 10 months. Then it died. Worked perfectly until it just stopped brewing. I don't know where everyone else found the wonderful customer service. I have been dealing with customer service for 2 1/2 weeks and all I have to show for it is a free box of k-cups. First customer service rep walked me through the required troubleshooting steps, promised to send a new brewer. Called a week later to see what was going on and was told there was no record of the phone call. Went through troubleshooting again. That customer srevice rep promised a new brewer and a free box of k-cups for my trouble. K-cups showed up in 3 days. Still no brewer. Customer service tried to insist the brewer shipped, but that was only the 1 pound k-cup package. All the reviews raved about the great customer service, so I wasn't concerned when my brewer died. As of today, customer service is still trying to figure out what happened. I am still without the brewer that I should have recieved 2 weeks ago. No new brewer has been shipped. I am also stuck with the k-cups I purchased after I was told my brewer would be replaced. What a rip-off. The brewer is wonderful when it is working, but not worth the hassle when it dies. Customer service useless.

Cons: Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value

Keurig Customer Service is the best

I have owned a Platinum Brewer for 10 months and started having issues with it last week. I contacted customer service and they were so helpful and nice. They sent me a replacement brewer and it arrived in only 3 days. This type of customer service will keep me buying Keurig products.

Bought this coffee pot a year ago and it is already broke. It never really worked properly. Called customer service, they gave me the runaround and were no help at all. Had enough of the Keurig... I will be purchasing a "normal" coffee pot. Coffee tastes better AND is much cheaper!
Cons: Noisy, HARD TO CLEAN, Pricey / Poor Value, Limited Cup Sizes

IT'S A BUST!

We are on our 3rd Brewer. After a few weeks use the brewer falls into a mode whereby the 'prime' display comes on after brewing a cup of coffee and the blue light flashes. At this point, the brewer will no longer pump water into the brewing chamber and the water storage container must be removed and reattached in order to function. This has happened with 3 different brewers. Since they are all covered by warranty, we have not had to pay replacement costs. However, the company requires that we return the Keurig cup holder to them, at a cost of about $10.00 per mailing. This is ridiculous. We requested a different color brewer to compensate for our inconvenience, but were refused on separate different levels. Although the customer service people were very courteous, their policies and their brewer (Platinum) leave much to be desired. Given the opportunity, I would not buy from this company again.

I use the Platinum daily, and love it. No pots of dead coffee sitting around - fresh coffee when I want it. HOWEVER - I have to buy a new one about once a year, because the pump goes out.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
