I depend on my coffee to start my day and to be honest most who know me don't want to see me until I have had that special 1st cup of the day. That being said this was a really important decision to buy a Keurig. I did the research and spoke to several people at local stores who support the coffee makers and brought my first Keurig home on the 8th. I am really excited about the variety and can hardly wait to try more. It was extremely easy to set up and I have enjoyed coffee multiple times a day with little effort and no problems. It has been quiet and hassle free. I will be honest I have taken every precaution. I purchased the water filter for the tank and I do use filtered water. I even run a clean hot water cup after some of the roasts. I hope that I love this machine as much over the next few months since I have truly enjoyed it these last few days! So far its the best Birthday gift I could have bought myself.

I received this coffee maker as a gift about 2 years ago and it has worked perfectly for the last 2 years. I made about 1 cup of coffee a day and my husband would brew at least one cup of iced tea daily. My husband had it in his office for about 3 weeks for a large conference they were having and I know it brewed at least 10 cups a day for the entire 3 weeks. This coffee maker even survived our transatlantic move and was working nicely until I plugged the 110v machine into the 220v converter....ooops. Now I'm out to buy the EXACT same one because it's wonderful!!

I love this coffee maker.....so much more convenient than making pots of coffee. No cleaning needed with each use...although, periodic "descaling" is recommended. If you leave water in the reservoir for any extended period of time it can build up algae and/or "scale" (minerals deposits" from your water) in the reservoir....this is a bit hard to clean out at the bottom of reservoir. But, it is doable. They just announced a recall of their "descaler"....so, not sure what they will do now to recommend maintenance descaling. The simplicity and convenience...and, the variety of coffees available make this a great product.

Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

I have tried every kind of coffeemaker around and am never pleased with the results, except for the Melitta single cup-over-mug. Then i bought this. I absolutely love it. After using it for 2 weeks, i took it back to the store and they allowed me to UPGRADE it!!! I purchased the platinum. I can go into the kitchen, turn it on while i prepare breakfast, and brew without having to do anything. I usually pour into my leakproof travel mug, and run out the door. It is an awesome brewer. I have had mine for 8 or 10 months and have had no problems. I know which coffees i like, so it is a perfect cup every time.

Due to hard water I needed help with the descaling process. Quincy in Customer walked me through clearing the lines, etc. leading to completion of the descaling process. Quincy was patient, clear, and thorough with his directions and the problem was resolved. Additionally, I promised to avoid using our very hard tap water in the future. Thank you Quincy...

I have had two of these brewers. One was a replacement for the first. First time it would run the water back into the reservoir and not brew. This time in 9 months it won't brew at all. The cheaper model seems to work better. I wouldn't spend so much on a brewer.

I use this brewer everyday but only drink 2 cups a day. This is my THIRD brewer from Keurig. They have all broken down before their one year warranty was up and Keurig's customer service department, when exhausting all possibilities, i.e., descaling instructions, magic paperclip cleaning trick, etc., sent me replacements for each brewer. This last one made it to the 1 year mark - hence, no more warranty. This last brewer got stuck on the "brewing" cycle. After descaling numerous times it worked 2 times and got stuck on "brewing" cycle again. OMG, I can't stand it anymore - in the trash it goes. I am conflicted as to whether I should buy another Keurig. Probably not, I love the convenience and the fun of sampling different coffees but am fed up with the poor quality of these brewers. Are they made in America? Probably not.

Great brewer, but it has some issues

Ok so I purchased this brewer just under a year ago. This is the first review that I've done on the website and the only reason that I am writing it is that I recently had an issue. For the last 10 months I have made between 2 and 4 cups of coffee a day without any issues. I used filtered water and cleaned out the system as instructed every 6 months (not every 3 as recommended). Recently my brewer stopped working, it wouldn't pump any water into the system. The pump would sound like it was working but nothing would happen. I was upset about it and looked around online for what to do. I couldn't try to descale it as it wasn't pumping anything. I was instructed to use a paper clip to try and clean the needle that punctures the top of the k-cup. While I did get some material out of that, it didn't fix the issue. Finally, being frustrated and reading all the reviews on here I called up customer service. After a 5 minute conversation the representative (who was extremely nice and helpful) said "Ok you will be seeing your new brewer in 5-7 days". While I do need to send back the k-cup holder (a mild inconvenience) the fact that they are sending me a new brewer is great. I personally think that a ~$200 brewer should last more than a year, but the fact that they replace it with no questions is great.
