on third of this style. all replaced under warranty. last one gave up the ghost less then 3 months. will continue to use as long as they are replaced no charge. if the present brewer lasts beyond the warranty period and then dies, i will strongly consider another model. all brewers used only bottled spring water and were 'descaled' at or before the 90 day period as recommended.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Unreliable, Not durable, Fragile, Poor internal design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Platinum Brewer is great...when it works

We waited quite a while before finally giving in and purchasing a Keurig and we love the ease of use and variety of coffees, teas, etc. that are available. Our Platinum model worked for a grand total of 10 DAYS (is that a record?) before it stopped pumpimg water and also began to have issues with the electronic display. We were able to get it going again but it would only produce about a quarter cup of coffee and the electronic display was still acting wacky. We took it back to where we purchased it and they readily exchanged it for us (and even asked if we wanted to try a different model). We decided to give the Platinum another try because we really do like the machine (when it works) and hope that we were just unlucky and got a lemon...but after reading a number of the reviews, it seems that we are not the only ones who have had issues with this particular model. One would expect ANY coffee brewer to last at least a couple of years with average home use...but quitting after a little more than a week verges on ridiculous.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The B70 was my 3rd Keurig in four years. Each one I had stopped functioning after about a year. No wonder they only give a year warranty.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: STOPS WORKING AFTER YEAR
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First it makes a great cup of coffee. You do have to try losts of coffee brands and types before you get the right ones for you.. But this is my second one, my third keruig is being replace today and should receive in a week. There are lots things to do keeping it clean and I don't think it;s really explained in the book. One of the things is if you use bold coffee you should put the cup in and poke the whole with force before u close the top because they have 30%more coffee and the coffee explodes into the needle and the hole where the water comes out and gets stuck and clogs and coffee maker doesn't work...But cs is sending me another keruig free of charge and I will must say even with the few problems I've had I would not trade for different kind of coffee maker. I love the fresh taste of coffee each time and I can have flavored, regulare, decaf or whatevere whenever I want. Keruig just needs a few more upgrades on the clogging of coffee grains...Love my Keruig
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Fresh coffee each time
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Need more info on cleanin

Our B70 died today. Seems like the pump has failed like so many of the other commenters. Ours lasted about 6 months. I expect a much longer lifespan for a $100 plus coffee machine. We'll be bringing our Bunn back in from the garage today.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Non Durable / Bad Design

My wife and I received this unit as a replacement for a special edition when it broke. Now, a little over a year later, this model is not working. The unit wants me to de-scale, which I have attempted. There is solution in the unit, but the pump is not working. I believe it is a pump/electronics problem. If it were a fouling issue, it would not be behaving the way it is. We are going to give Keurig one more change, but if the next unit does not stand up, we will not be back.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure what it is about this model; but it dies every 6-9months. The first one we were told it was a faulty valve. After our 2nd one died, I asked about this model (everyone else we know that has other models has not had these problems) and was told the valve issue was fixed, this problem was just a fluke. Well my third one is on the fritz after 6 months. We like this model due to the 12oz size; but we are beyond frustrated. Think we will consider another brand. Hopefully Keurig will come through with their terrific customer service; however, calling them is not feasible.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
