I thought this would be a GREAT model!!!

I bought this after being addicted to Keurig at work. It was GREAT for about 6 months and then started shorting us on coffee sizes. We would have to brew twice to get close to the size we had chosen. Then finally, it just QUIT brewing completely! No warning, nothing clogged and can't even Descale to get vinegar through again. I've been on the phone with Keurig 4 days in a row and they are still trying to get me to TRY other options to get it to work. If I pay $170 for a coffee maker and it stops working, I feel they should replace it after at least two days of talking to them. I have been without coffee for almost a week now!!!! I thought the customer service and replacement would be a LOT better!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Quits brewing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this brewing system

This is my 4th Keurig (2 Elites given to family when upgraded to Special Edition) The Special Edition is at work and I have the Platnium at home, I am getting ready to buy another Platnum for my office and giving the SE to my boss who didn't drink coffee til he tried the Keurig. I have not had any problems with any of the products, they have all worked perfectly. The Special Edition in my office is used for about 8-10 cups a day and the Platinum at home about 5-6 cups a day and on weekends I lose count. I am sold on its durability and the Platinum is much quiter than the earlier models.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Quite, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use

Poor Quality/Poor Customer Service

My husband and I used our Kuerig every morning and some evenings. We had it 1 1/2 years and it quit working. He tried cleaning all parts and determined the pump failed. He called Customer Service, they suggested several things but ultimately said they do not repair machines and they do not sell replacement parts. They also would not replace it because it was 6 mos past warranty. They wanted to offer us a 20% discount and sell us another model. Why is it that my $40 Mr Coffee has worked for years but Kuerig won't stand behind a [$] product? I think I will try the Bosch model next time!

Perfect single cup of coffee

I've only had my Keurig for about two months and I have had no problems with it. I am a single woman and an avid, Gold Star carrying Starbucks card holder. Since purchasing my new Platinum Keurig, I've had little to no desire to visit the coffee houses. I can make one cup of coffee and go (no cleaning of the coffee pot or throwing away messy coffee grinds or purchasing coffee filters). Also, if I want a second cup...well I can make another and it can be a totally different flavor. I've made hot tea as well as iced tea (which, if you haven't done that yet, you're missing out!). I've read the reviews about bad customer service but I haven't experienced that. I ordered some coffee varieties from the Keurig company and when there was one very small issue, I was compensated over and above what I should have. I was extremely impressed with that and of course that experience has made me more loyal to ordering my coffee from them directly. If I have any issue with the Keurig company, it would only be that sometimes the coffee is out of stock when I'm prepared to purchase. The machine itself,however, is great! It has, in my opinion, revolutionized coffee making. Again, to have the ability to make one single cup of coffee and make it stronger, weaker or however you like it...I can say nothing negative about that at all. I love the Platinum and would never purchase any other size. On another note, I run the cycle without the coffee as the manual suggests) to clean it out occasionally. Again, extremely easy to do and I've had no problems with the machine. I LOVE MINE! Not only would I recommend it to a friend, I would purchase it for a friend!!!

Working out the Bugs 2

An update 2 my last review... Ok, so my PBS cont'd. 2 shortcup me, also dcided 2 cut off & not turn back on til nxt day. So, I turned it on, descald again...@ this point in time, I was cleaning needle every time I made a cup (& no, I NVR lv the used k-cup there... I always remove it & put a fresh 1 in it's place (hv done that since I rcvd my 1st one 3 yrs ago)). Honestly, I do find this 2 be a bit frustrating... YET, I kno the Keurig Brewing Systems r wonderful b/c I hv had my SEB (Special Edition Brewer) for 3 yrs & NVR hv had an issue w/it. So, even tho I am hving difficulties w/this 1... I still give the brewer 4 stars. Wen it wrks, it's fabulous! Besides, I cannot, in any way, complain about the cust. svc.! They hv been wonderful!!! (They r sending me a new PBS.) For those of u who r hving similar difficulties & hv not xperiencd 1 of these brewers til now, hang in there! If sum1 is rude 2 u ask 4 another rep 2 speak with... Good luk! Still, @ this time, I am not comfortable recommending this particular brewer 2 ne1. This is just my opinion.

Don't waste your money

Keurig has always been willing to send me a new brewer, but the problems never go away. I have had the same problems with thier product as others did. I finally decided to throw the brewer away and will never buy another Keurig product again. The Customer Service Department always puts a different twist on how to care for the machine (cleaning, descaling, etc) I don't have time in the morning to yield to the princess of coffee brewers.
Pros: None
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this in July 2010. My wife and I love it. It tastes better some times than caribu coffee which is what we use in it. I wish we took it on our last vacation.
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes
