Absolute Worst Coffee Maker Ever

Both of mine stopped working after about six months. Guess this machine can only function for light usage. More than five cups a day and it quits working.
Pros: Worked for 6 months
Cons: This is my second machine
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why The Disparity In Reviews??????

Mostly morning coffee use for 2 drinkers, usually only 2 to 3 cups. Occasionally afternoon cup of coffee or tea also. We are surprised by the seemingly huge disparity of the posted reviews, some with high praise and almost equal numbers damning the product, resulting in only a 63% "recommended" percentage. Obviously a major "quality control" problem. "Made In China" strikes again? Ours says "Made in China" however! Brief analysis of reviews seems to indicate the "older" machines have performed much better than the more current products. Ours is almost 4 years old and is a bottom of the line model purchased at a "discount" warehouse store. It is noisy, but delivers consistently good tasting coffee. At that same time of our purchase we gave 2 as Christmas gifts, and soon after that 3 friends purchased machines on our recommendation. ALL of those machines are still in operation! Obviously something has changed in the manufacturing. One minor problem we had was diagnosed quickly and correctly by Customer Service who provided effective instructions for a fix. Based on our experience we would recommend, but based on totality of reviews....maybe not!
Pros: Consistency Of Taste, Speed, Convenience
Cons: Noise, K-cup Costs

I bought my husband the mini Keurig last year for his birthday since he is the coffee drinker in the family. He loved it so much that he bought the Platinum version so I could have iced drinks - especially iced teas. Now I use it everyday and he uses it on the weekends when he is home in the mornings. We love it and have had no problems with it since it was bought a yar ago. Highly recommend it for anyone who has family members with different coffee/tea tastes.
Pros: Quiet, Reliable, Easy to use
Cons: Cannot think of any

Bought ours 2 weeks ago, it shortcupped, if you want to call it that, for the first time. Solution: Lift the handle up, close it and re-brew. The one issue on accessories is the "My K-cup", where you use a seperate unit for your own coffee. Practical, fill coffee grounds to almost top, close and brew. Issue: Coffee comes out pale, it seems not all the hot water distributes evenly through the coffee grounds. Solution: Moisten coffee while in filter before placing unit in the brewer...BAM! Resolved...perfect coffee.

Loud Machine....

I like the fact that I can make a cup of coffee in seconds but it is so [*] loud when it pumps the water into the unit. If my kids didn't sleep on the second floor of my house I would not be able to use it in the morning. VERY LOUD...

I love this machine. Heat ups relatively quickly, and allows you to make multiple different drinks one after the other with no cleanup. Just make sure you have enough water in the chamber, pick your k-cup, pick your cup size on the screen, hit brew and 30 seconds later you have a delicious cup of hot/iced coffee or tea. The hot chocolate isnt so great b/c its (obviously) made with water instead of milk. I hear theres also hot apple cider now, which i haven't tried yet. If you don't have much time in the morning, and rush out the door like I do, I would definitely try this. Saves so much time, and you don't have to waste an entire pot of coffee, or ever worry about freshness. It even accomodates most travel mugs as well. Try it, I'm sure you'll fall in love..and if you don't like it, return it!
Pros: Quick, Tasty, Easy, Fun, No Mess
Cons: Lacks milk based drinks

Auto on/off Function

I love my Keurig and was very upset when the descale light came on after 6 months and when I descaled it, it stopped brewing and the descale light stayed on. After a few customer service calls, Keurig gladly is replacing my machine which I hope arrives any minute! After reading other reviews in which some of the same issues I had are posted, I am wondering if using the auto on/off function may be a smart idea to let it "rest" at night. I am going to try that this time along with using spring water to see how that works.
Pros: Brews great coffee, Can make variety
Cons: Can be confusing

Wish you could buy a bigger selection of coffee in stores instead of only on line. Why don't you offer a 20 or 30 K-cup selection on-line that the consumer is allowed to pick all different K-cups they would like to try. That would be great, sign me up.
