Nice Brewer, but...

We bought this brewer as a Christmas gift for my wife in 2009. We love the brewer, and have found a few coffees that we enjoy. The aggravating thing about this brewer is its longevity. My first brewer last 9 months before needing replaced. Keurig was great, and replaced the brewer with no problems. The replacement brewer has lasted just about 4 months, and it now needs replaced. Once again, Keurig is replacing the second brewer with no problems, but I have to wonder how long that will last. There is an obvious design defect here, but no one can tell me what it is. I de-scale the brewer per instructions, and keep the needles free and clear of obstructions. Once again, thank you Keurig for standing behind your product.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Fragile, Not durable

Upgraded to this model from the special edition, it stopped working after 2 days, the new one only lasted a week. Something wrong with this model, don't buy this model. Had the other model for 3 years.

My husband and I use this everyday. However, now after 1 yr and 2 months it quit working propely and no amount of cleaning will get it to work right. Stuck in brewing but no water comes out and what does is recycles back in the water tank?? I had a problem with it one time before, and I descaled the machine and it started working properly after a lot of non sense. Looking back, I should have returned it at that time. I could have gotten my money back, but now it is too late. A lot of money on a machine that last only a year.
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Complicated, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ONE YEAR EXPIRATION!

I have had two of the Platinum Editions of the Keurig Brewer and both times, I have had the same problem with the machine. It ceases to brew, even though you hear it internally trying to - I have followed the manufacturers directions and de-scaled the coffee maker with white vinegar only, as per instructions & yet, I am still having the same exact problem. Apparently, it must be a defect in this machine, that they have never corrected. Or they timed it perfectly, after the one year guarantee expires, a problem arises. I am thinking twice, about getting another keurig this time, maybe another brand to brew my numerous varieties of k cup coffee. I do love the easy and quick way to get a quick cup of coffee, with no mess and no fuss, but don't think it is worth the price of this machine, especially having to keep replacing after a year. ~
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use

Waiting for my 3rd replacement to arrive (4th B70 total) in slightly over a year. I really love the coffee however I now have great personal distain for the B70. I asked Keurig to let me pay the difference and change brewers and was robotically told they don't have an "upgrade program" after some prodding I was told a special office would call me. The special office eventually did and apparently that robotic line has been distributed to all their personnel as I was again told they did not have an "upgrade program" while I don't agree that switching to a model that actually works is an "upgrade" there is no point in arguing with customer support personnel when they have those types of robotic lines disseminated to all their employees it's obviously a hard no from high up. Keurig coffee is great! but the B70 is not, I would recommend any other model, really the Keurig system is really great, just this model is a nightmare.
Pros: Good coffee when working
Cons: Unreliable, Not durable, HARD TO CLEAN, Defective

Usually I really enjoy having this machine however it does not always work the way it should. Also I have just completed the de-scaling process. It took FOREVER and my machine is still not working properly. The screen still reads 'de-scale'. I am at a loss. I just want a cup of coffee!!!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Great coffee options
Cons: Doesn't consistantly work, Impossible to descale, HARD TO CLEAN

The more I have used it the slower it gets. My children say now we could brew a whole pot in the length of time it takes to make one cup. Very unhappy with this but liked the concept of doing it.
Pros: Stylish, Several cup sizes, Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Too slow as time goes on, Fragile, Makes coffee slower and s

It's got potential

This is the first time I have written any manufacturer reviews for any product as the only reason I would do so is to help the mfg improve, and in most products/companies, I don't feel I have a stake in their product, or their progress, or lack thereof, so in limited time available, why bother. But this product seems to have legs, and the brief experience w/ customer service shows potential for improvement. I purchased from retailer in November for coffee drinking spouse. He was enthralled with the neighbor's unit and ability to produce one cup of good coffee vs. spoiling an entire carafe. (note: I believe possibly because of the "chrome" trim. If only it had 4 tiny tires to move around on the counter, possibly w/an audio dual exhaust/reverb feature while brewing, you could sell these like hotcakes.) Excellent value for Platinum included the conversion filter for non-Kcup use and 60? (or at least 48 pack) Kcups various variety Ridiculously easy to get it ready to use out of the box. Nice lines and fits on the counter in our relatively small kitchen where counterspace is at a premium. As non-coffee drinker, I enjoy the ease of use when we have drop-in company. Ready in a snap. I am told produces very consistent tasting and aromatic coffee. (Newman extra bold seems to be favorite in our group) Light use about 3-4 cups /day between Nov and about New Year. We have twice filtered water at the inlet from city and the reefer filter itself to minimize mineral elements. Then it started dribbling instead of streaming coffee. Cleaned twice according to mfg direction including vinegar treatments. After about 30 mins on phone with very willing K. customer rep, achieved brief measure of repair w/ paperclip idea. K. customer rep offered, and did send, a courtesy K.pack for the trouble, which was a nice gesture. However after a day or two (less than 8 cups), it stopped performing when asked to brew coffee, though it would run plain water a little better. Finally it just stopped doing anything. Returned it to store and got another. Though I did not inquire about returning to K. mfg, store not far away. Liked the overall quality of manufacture and the coffee product itself well enough to try again. Hence the lower grade of 4.0. However, as note to K. mfg., for the price of unit and K.coffee per cup, a 30 minute cell call, to almost remedy, using a paperclip, should not be required!!! Hoping for good things from this second-try unit and for K.mfg as you have a good idea going here and at least the initial contact with customer service shows you are willing to try to improve. Press on.
Pros: Easy to use, Coffee tastes great, Convenient
