flavor of coffee

I am not sure what we are doing wrong, we have enjoyed tremondously the Keurig coffees with our children in the Pacific NW, however, not sure why, but the coffee flavor does not seem right? Are we to do something first other than clean out the water container, we ran a full container thru and still coffee does not seem to taste right. We are trying the Tully's, and we have had this before and it tasted fine. Is it the cups we are using in combination with this coffee? We would like to continue using, but would like some idea's of what we could do differently to enhance the taste.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Durable, Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Sucked down the rabbit hole (again)

This is our second brewer that we are now replacing. We have had this brewer for slightly over one year, and had our first brewer for less than two years before its demise. I rarely write reviews, but based on my recent experience I feel that it might be helpful to someone who hasn't already purchased a machine. We love the idea of this system. The single cup profile works very well for us, and we like many of the K-cup options that are available. When our first brewer died two years ago, we were told that it could be due to the altitude we live at (we're in Colorado), but we had been de-scaling routinely and had no real reason to believe anything but that we had a faulty machine. Customer service was very nice, and we ordered this brewer as a replacement when they couldn't figure out what the problem was. Now our second machine has died. We de-scale regularly and even double-punch every pod to make sure that there's not an issue with pressurized pods, and yet here we sit again with a malfunctioning brewer. I called customer service yesterday, and though nice as always, their tech department was "overloaded" with support calls and could not help me. They asked for a 48-hour time frame to return the call. It suggests a problem to me if they are so overwhelmed with support issues that they can't take their call volume, but they were very nice about it. I asked the phone representative if it was normal to have machines stop working at some point...if this is going to happen, after all, and it's fairly common, at least I can plan for it and take that in to consideration. But no, he said that the machines should last much longer and that there is something wrong. I called in again today, and after determining that there was nothing to be done to repair this brewer, the supervisor with whom I was speaking (I never did reach a tech, but was transferred to a supervisor on my third call to the support department) offered me a "discount" to purchase a new machine, as mine was now out of warranty. She said that I could use my membership points (earned from buying K-cups online from Keurig) to get a new brewer at 1/2 off. While I appreciate that this offer exists, it is using points that I've earned, not giving me a discount for a defective piece of merchandise. She was unwilling to provide a discount for replacing the machine in addition to my paying for half of the brewer out of pocket and using my points for the difference. This does not feel particularly fair to me, as this machine is costing me an average of $100 per year over the past four years (not counting coffee), but it is what it is I guess. So...why am I buying another one? We just placed a large order last month for multiple boxes of K-cups. And while I am loathe to give this company any more of my money, I cannot abide the thought of wasting all of those pods and the money that went in to them. I'm writing this review for anyone who is considering one of these machines as a first-time purchase. Had I known four years ago what I know now, I would not purchase this machine at all. I do not believe that a few machines are "faulty," or that some people are just getting lemons...if you read the reviews on this machine you will see that there seem to be a lot of issues. And the longer people have them, the more issues develop. Bottom line - I genuinely believe that these machines are manufactured to work for a couple of years at best, and maybe for their price that's reasonable to some people. I'm just not one of them.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Defective, Poor Quality, Unreliable

We got this machine mainly to replace a regular drip pot coffee machine. I usually only drink Tea and Espresso but I am very impressed with this machine. I have been drinking more coffee out of this and a lot less espresso, which is a good thing as I was drinking about 15 shots of espresso a day. Even the tea is OK, I wont be leaving my loose leaf anytime soon, but for a quick cup it's great. The only real issue I have is that for my regular size mugs I need to set it on the "travel mug" size. But I can handle that.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes

My my is a *bucks addict. Our Keurig is her methadone dispenser ;p We got some syrup, caramel sauce, and other stuff and now she makes her own delicious drinks!! About people saying "limited cups sizes", what are you talking about? Pull out the drip tray for really tall travel cups, and add a "shot" to top it off.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Durable

This is our third keurig coffee maker. I love the conveniance and the flavor choices of coffee. My daughter after seeing ours replaced her single cup brewer with a keurig. My only complaint has been with a short cupping problem. we have had this on our last two machines and in both instances it happenned with 3 to 6 months of purchasing. However, with that said. we have been so satisfied and pleased with customer support and the actions they took to remedy the problem, that I would definately recommend The Keurig platinum to anyone who asked. On this, our third, I will definately stick to a more regular descaleing plan, and hopefully it will not have similar problems to the last two machines....the coffee and ease of use makes the inconveninaces I've suffered worth while.....
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Fragile

I was not an everyday coffee drinker, but received this a Christmas gift from my daughters. Being able to brew whatever kind I want, when I want it, in the amount I want it, with no waste has really change how I drink coffee and other drinks that I kind brew with this brewer. I just love it...
Pros: Durable, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Stylish
Cons: none

Great Coffee Maker.....w/issues

My wife called me asking if I wanted a 3 or 5 cup size coffee maker. I said neither because I don't need a new coffee maker. Well she bought the B70 anyway. It's fast, quite, very convenient, looks cool, no mess....and just 2 days into the coffee making fun it stopped working. I could tell right away that it was not drawing water. I checked the manual and there was nothing about this problem in the troubleshooting section. I googled B70 stopped working and I was presented with pages of info and you-tube videos. I found an article for a Keurig water tank not drawing water. The fix worked on my B70. I also found tips & fixes for the top and bottom needles too. Since fixing the water tank problem I've had no problems what so ever. It's all about the coffee now. I blew through all the freebie coffee in just a few days. I have an order open for more coffee - many brands I would've never tried. So, it's a great coffee maker w/issues. For me and my coffee maker I was able to work through the problems. I'm not a coffee connoisseur. I just know what I like and this coffee maker is making a lot of coffee I like.
Pros: Convenient, Stylish, Durable, Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Quick, Quiet, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, No Mess
