Why The Disparity In Reviews??????

Mostly morning coffee use for 2 drinkers, usually only 2 to 3 cups. Occasionally afternoon cup of coffee or tea also. We are surprised by the seemingly huge disparity of the posted reviews, some with high praise and almost equal numbers damning the product, resulting in only a 63% "recommended" percentage. Obviously a major "quality control" problem. "Made In China" strikes again? Ours says "Made in China" however! Brief analysis of reviews seems to indicate the "older" machines have performed much better than the more current products. Ours is almost 4 years old and is a bottom of the line model purchased at a "discount" warehouse store. It is noisy, but delivers consistently good tasting coffee. At that same time of our purchase we gave 2 as Christmas gifts, and soon after that 3 friends purchased machines on our recommendation. ALL of those machines are still in operation! Obviously something has changed in the manufacturing. One minor problem we had was diagnosed quickly and correctly by Customer Service who provided effective instructions for a fix. Based on our experience we would recommend, but based on totality of reviews....maybe not!
Pros: Consistency Of Taste, Speed, Convenience
Cons: Noise, K-cup Costs

Loved it when it worked!

The machine worked great for nearly a year at my residence. However, it started "clogging" (we tried to clean the machine per the instructions but it did not help)and ever since the machine does not fill up the coffee cup. When I use the machine, I have to turn the machine on and off to keep brewing..very time consuming. This is frustrating since I paid good money for this machine. Other than this problem, the machine brews great coffee at the right temperature.
Pros: Initially a great machine
Cons: Does not work properly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This coffee maker seems great and exciting at first, but upon closer inspection is not a great deal. The k-cups are not only expensive but wasteful. We throw out so many little plastic things with this, and while its an alternative, the fill-your-own cup doesn't work great and is messy and impractical for multiple uses. It is a good product for quick on the go cups, but mine has been never worked quite right either. I've had to descale often (despite using RO water), which is a lot of work, been "shortcupped" a lot and I don't like the fact you cannot drain the water completely out of it for storage. Keurig does have excellent customer service, though, so while I cannot say you should definitely buy this brewer, the company is a good one.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Wasteful, HARD TO CLEAN, Expensive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used this machine for about a week and LOVE IT easy to operate and all the way around just a great invention. At this time no cons yet.

Significant Timesaver

I absolutely love to use my Keurig for coffee and tea daily. We use the travel mugs for coffee on the go. I no longer waste pots of unused coffee in the morning. For those who commented on descale, it is important to use filtered water rather than tap, especially if your water has a lot of lime or calcium deposits. It will decrease the need for cleaning.

I can't say enough about my Keurig. I bought it a year ago and have not had a problem since. It could not have come at a better time. I was always an avid coffee drinker, visiting DD at least once a day. When my daughter was born last year that all came to a screeching halt because I couldn't lug a newborn to DD every day in the middle of winter. Also, I was never one to make my own coffee at home, I never liked it much and it didn't make sense to make a whole pot just for one person. Needless to say life with a newborn and no coffee is dreadful! So, in comes Keurig and my life is saved! With the auto on/off feature, the pot is ready as soon as I wake up. There is nothing better than not having to wait for coffee when you wake up! The selection of coffee is amazing, everyone in my family loves all the flavored k-cups. All of my family members are big coffee drinkers too but were skeptical about the Keurig. After using mine just once, my aunt, grandmother, mother, and mother-in-law all went out and bought one within days! Its impossible to live without. I have not had the pleasure of dealing with customer service yet but I hear that they are more then helpful!
Pros: Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
