Worked great for a year

I purchase the Platinum B70 for my wife as an Anniversary gift. The coffee maker made it just over a year before we started getting the, "Not ready" that I have recently found out about. Not only do we get the not ready but the machine will turn on by its self and start spitting water out now. The only option for this machine now is the trash. It was great while it lasted. Guess we got one of the better built ones as it made it a year before [*]out.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super bummed!!!

Got this coffee maker just a few days before Christmas - it is now January 2nd and it has stopped working. Loved it while it lasted. I looked online and have found so many bad reviews that I will not get another one.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Have read bad reviews, Stopped working

Best Machine Out There

Best coffee maker on the market. And for the guy who says its not hot enough---> READ THE MANUAL - YOU SET THE BREW TEMP ON THE MACHINE...My brother is now getting one for a house warming gift.

Short-Term User With Short-Term Appraise

I have had my Keurig since Christmas, which isn't a lot of time, but I have used it many times and have not had any problems yet. I have easily made about 30+ cups in the week since Christmas, allowing friends and relatives to try the brewer as well. Every k-cup I've had so far has come out perfectly and I have had no problems. I have high-calcium water where I live, so I plan on maintaining it more than what the manufacturer claims, which the same can be said with my before-hand brewer. The size of the machine is a little large, but it is stylish and people seem to really enjoy the look of it. I'm sure with time I'll run across the same problems that many of you have had, but I hope that I do not. Luckily where I bought my keurig, I got a product replacement plan on it so if it breaks after the one-year warranty, I'll be getting a gift card to buy a new one from Future Shop!

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

LOVE IT

I love this product. I drink coffee everyday and I love how quickly I can make a single cup. My husband was anti the Keurig but he bought it as a xmas gift for me anyway. He has never been much of a coffee drinker till now. He has more coffee than I do. Its great because he can have his type and I can have my own kind. My only 2 complaints are that the water reservoir is not made of glass which I prefer to use. And the other would be that it doesn't have a stop button if you have to stop the drip. Despite these two complaints, I really LOVE this coffee maker. I highly recommend the platinum because of the different sizes.

Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Exceptional Service, Spotty Reliability

My wife and I both work from home; 5 days a week for me and 2-3 days a week for her. We both drink coffee (2-5 cups a day) and we were hesitant last Christmas when looking at one of the Keurig's. The whole single cup thing was a bit futzy, and seemed silly - but I splurged and bought a B70 at [...] 2 days before Christmas for her. We *loved* it immediately. Before the end of January, we had easily 5 varieties of coffee, tea and iced teas. Then, it stopped pumping water in early February - ~40 days from the time of purchase.We called Keurig, and they walked us through about 10 minutes of questions, then agreed simply to send a replacements as the issue was a problem with the water pickup & known. Less than a week later we had a new one and it has worked since, 2-3 cups a day minimum use, until we got home from Christmas vacation with family on December 30th.We called again to Keurig, cleaned it with a pin, tried running distilled vinegar through it to no avail. After 30-45 minutes, the young woman asked simply that I take down an address and send in the K-Cup holster from the now defunct brewer and we have a new B76 Brewer on the way, again.I have to say - the customer service has been absolutely top notch. No grumpy, angry annoyed or otherwise disinterested customer service reps. They have always been helpful and polite and so far, have always been about to provide us with an acceptable resolution to the problem.I am hoping that this time, I wont have to ask them to replace it again inside of a year. I almost felt guilty when the rep said she was sending a new one - I mean I bought one, and this will be the third one. However for what was a >$200 coffee brewer, I never thought that one would last 40 days, and the next just 10 months.So 6 of 5 Stars on Customer Service - you have a customer for life if these things can start lasting longer. Hopefully your engineering department is working the kinks out and this one will last quite some time, and I'll be forced to buy a new one a few years from now.Jim

Can Keurig EVER make one that lasts?

My first Keurig brewer, a Special Edition, lasted about 18 months, then stopped consistently brewing a full-sized up. Went through litany of service emails/calls with Keurig (they were understanding and very helpful), descaled about a dozen times, nothing fixed it. I replaced mine with a Platinum edition and alas, the exact same problem has emerged after only a couple months' use. About every other cup gives you half the requested amount. Nice waste of expensive coffee. My brewer is descaled and not plugged up. Our water has very few minerals. This is not user error or ignorance. It's faulty equipment. Will return it to store where I purchased, which thankfully has a liberal return policy. But I might just demand a refund, because after two of these -- and seeing all the similar complaints -- I'm convinced these very expensive brewers are simply not ready for prime time. Too bad, because it's a fabulous concept. But alas, they simply do not last in my experience. (A service tech conceded they did have design issues with pumps from some brewers, but "those problems have all been corrected." I would suggest not.
