Great Brewer - Just a few improvements

We bought our Platinum version from QVC prior to Christmas. The design is attractive and fits very well with our Kitchen and decor. There is no doubt that it makes a great cup of coffee. I also like the fact that you can use your own coffee and have noticed that even a basic columbian roast tastes much better now as opposed to a drip pot at a time. I like the lighting used. It adds a nice ambient to the kitchen late at night. A couple areas for improvement? The main power switch in the back is a little awkward. It would be nice to have in the front or right side. I like to turn ours on as opposed to programming because of our inconsistant schedule. Also, as soon as I turn it on, as it heats, I like to add my coffee and choose my cup size (which always varies for me), and close the holder. But when it is then Ready to Brew, you can't just hit the Brew button, you have to reengage the holder.
Pros: Stylish, Durable, Water filtration, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to clean, Multiple Settings
Cons: Power switch placement, Requirement to reboot

Very easy to program and use

My company has a Commercial Keurig and due to how easy that one is to use, we looked into getting one for our home. It is very easy to setup and program as long as you read the instructions. We have the timer on ours set to have it on and ready when we get up for work and turn off a little later in the morning. Very nice to have a cup of coffee in the morning without the hassle of having to clean a coffee filter or coffee pot each day.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use, Stylish

Love it... but not durable!!

We loved this product... at least when it was working properly! If it had continued to work like it did during the first 7 months, this would be a five start rating! For the first 7 months, we had no issues with the coffee maker, even recommended it to our offices. Unfortunately, about one month ago, the pump started working erratically. Some days it doesn't pump anything into our cups, other days it pumps 20+ ozs and overflows our big Tervis Tumblers creating a HUGE mess. I ran it through a descaling process which did nothing to fix the issue. I emailed the company a week and half ago to see how we could get the problem fixed. Sadly, the only response I've gotten was an automated response that a rep will contact you within 2 days. No matter how wonderful the idea is, I'm hesitant to invest more money in something that seems to have major mechanical problems that don't seem to be isolated incidents. This is not a $20 coffee pot (like the one that lasted me 8 years) so I don't want to be replacing this thing every 6-7 months! Unsatisfactory!

Great When It Works

I bought this on a tv shopping channel in December of 2009. It worked great for about 6 months and then it started having brewing issues. I de-scaled it and it worked fine. Last week, one month out of my 1 year warranty it just stopped working. It won't brew anything, I have de-scaled it again about 5 times and still nothing. [...] I am now waiting for someone at Keurig to help me or tell me that I need to buy another $150 coffee maker, which I absolutely will not do. I have a single serving Keurig at work that works great and I hope they stand behind their product so I can continue to be a loyal customer. So far, it isn't looking too good.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Stops working
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

My Favorite Mommy Accessory

I love my Keurig Plantinum brewer. My husband bought it for me over a year ago and we both LOVE having it. My favorite feature is the timer setting - it is on when I get out of bed in the morning and turns off (when I might otherwise forget to hit the off button). I love the variety of K cups available, and being able to use the My K-Cup feature allows me to brew my favorite blends that aren't yet available in Kcups. This has been my Favorite Mommy Accessory so far!

Best Christmas Gift from Husband!

Love, the Keurig. It's the best Christmas present I've received from my husband besides Diamonds. Of course, now he doesn't have to make my coffee - it's so easy my son makes it for me now (and everyone else). Love the coffee and my family loves the hot chocolate.

Love it, the Water Temp. could be Hotter

I have the Platinum Brewer, I wouldn't recommend a less quality one, the Platinum has a larger water holding tank and enough brew sizes for every cup. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THE BREW TEMPERATURE, IF YOU ADD MILK OR CREAM TO THE COFFEE IT'S JUST NOT HOT ENOUGH AND my original plan was to use it for both coffee and tea, but the water was not hot enough for making tea. I purchased the mini filter which saves on costs, I am pleased with the filter, I don't think any other coffee maker sells a filter for using your own coffee.
