Worst investment ever.

Quite literally the first day after bringing it home, it broke. Barely able to squeeze out my 2nd cup of coffee before it sounded like the water wasn't being pumped out. Upset doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling. I couldn't be more disappointed and livid. Buyer beware. That is all.
Pros: Stylish

Love it!!

I only drink the rare cup of coffee, perhaps 1 a day or every other day; but do enjoy hot & iced teas as well. My husband however, drinks a pot (or more!) per day! He is currently deployed to Afghanistan & it made no sense for me to make an entire pot, when I'd pour most of it out. We were given the Platinum Keurig as a gift about a year & a half ago, used it faithfully & 3 days ago, it died completely. No power, nothing. I was heartbroken! I knew my warranty had expired but called Keurig anyway & spoke to a wonderful representative (I believe his name was David). After trying a few troubleshooting ideas, it was determined there's no fixing it. To my utter surprise, they are sending me a replacement brewer that should be here in a few days! Yes, lots of people have had issues with their Keurigs but really, in my opinion, the customer service makes up for it. Thank you, Keurig!!!
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Stylish, Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile

"Fix" For The PRIME Error
on July 8, 2014

I wanted to share the semi-fix I found for the extremely frustrating PRIME error that so many have encountered. Like many, I was on my second brewer after having the "PRIME" error constantly! The second machine was now malfunctioning so I went in search of ANY tips. The cleaning etc is NOT the issue with "Prime" errors as they occur with brewers only days old. I searched the Internet and the one tip I found that seems to help is; use WARM water when refilling the reservoir, bring the water to the reservoir rather than removing/replacing it each time and fill it slowly as to not create excessive bubbles. I've been using this tip for several weeks and have NOT had another "Prime" error! I was so happy- I LOVE the brewer and didn't want to give it up. For those with frequent or reoccurring "Prime" errors, give it a try. Best of luck..
Pros: Fast, Large Variety, Fresh cup each time
Cons: Frequent Problems

Skeptic At First...Now A Keurig Convert
on December 4, 2009

I must admit to being skeptical about the Keurig System at first. The costs and the trendy nature of the appliance were all possible negatives. Frankly, I was satisfied with my fresh ground beans and my drip coffeemaker. However, I am now a "Keurig Convert!" The brewer is very easy to use, easy to maintain and clean, and more importantly, makes an excellent cup of coffee on demand. There is none of that "old coffee on the hot plate" smell, each cup tastes brewed rather than cooked, and there is a wide variety of strengths, sizes, and flavors. By the third cup...I was sold on the concept. This is the coffeemaker of the future!
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Excellent Brewed Coffee, Easy to use
Cons: No Excess Cord Storage, Power Switch On Back

Here is the good and the bad
on September 4, 2010

Pros: Easy to use. Beautiful Machine. Now here is the bad. It boggles my mind that for almost [$] you would think this machine would not give you any problems. I bought my machine 7/2010. Here we are 2 months later and the machine says it is brewing but will not brew. Called Keurig and they had me sticking paperclips up the needles (odd) and still did not work. The nice thing is that they are sending me a brand new unit but i have to wait 5-10 days. Maybe I should have bought the less expensive unit. be prepared to possibly encounter some problems. I agree with other reviews that Quality control should be reviewed within this company so that they are not giving away new brewers after 2 months. If you do purchase this machine and are offered a chance to purchase an extended warranty DO IT PLEASE!!!!
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish

Good Machine but bad reliability

The machine is great except I am on my third unit. My first failed after a few months. The replacement failed after two more months. Keurig was great and replaced them. The support people were really helpful. My only complaint is they need to build them to be reliable.
Pros: Easy to use, Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Unreliable

The Platinum Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

I have used my Keurig daily at home and for entertaining for 2 years. I began to have some problems with the brewer and called costomer service, and I can tell you that customer service just doesn't get any better. After troubleshooting the problem, they are replacing my brewer at no cost to me. Nice.

Model K70 WR
on August 9, 2013

Had a model B70 and lasted 2 years. Model quit working by freezing in the brew mode. I de-scaled and cleaned as instructed in the manual. I also used filtered water. The good thing is Keurig replaced it free even though it was out of warranty (after I refused to pay for another at a reduced price and speaking with someone out of the corporate office). The model that they replaced it with is K70 WR which I can't find anywhere on Keurig's website or online. This model looks and has all the features as the B70 and hopefully the quality is better. These brewers are expensive and should last longer than 2 years. I think that I will be done with Keurig brewers if this one goes down prematurely. Bottom line is I will give the K70 a chance and come back and write another review. I would not feel comfortable recommending this model to a friend as of yet.
