Review Update...not good

Well sadly I have to update my previous good review. This is my 5th unit and I thought this was the one that would work. All the others broke after 30 days so once I passed 30 and 60 days with no problems I thought I was home free. This one went almost 4 months with no issues then the pump started getting louder and louder, I started only getting 1/4 cup of coffee even though I have it on the larger cup setting. These units are just not made to last especially when you make several cups of coffee daily. There is a definite quality control issue with the company that needs to be fixed. I love the concept and I love the coffee choices but the quality of the brewer is poor. Keurig, please fix this problem before you lose any more customers.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Faulty pump

Best Ever!!

We've had our Platinum brewer for over 3 years and we have not had a single problem. We're "big" coffee lovers so we've got just about every flavor of coffee for the Keurig and we use our own coffee with the filter basket. Never had a problem. I'd say the only thing I've done different that perhaps others haven't is I carefully clean all the components once a week. I also clean the water chamber with vinegar water solution as Keurig recommends. If I had to pick out one "con" I'd say it tends to be a "bit" louder than I wish when using in the middle of the night. LOL Thank goodness the kids are upstairs though! That's it! That's my only con if you really want to call that a "con". I looked into upgrading to Cuisinart model but then again, "if it ain't broke why fix it!" I'll just continue enjoying my Platinum brewer, I look forward to many more years with it before considering an upgrade.
Pros: Durable, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: A bit noisy

Hopefully Third is A Charm

I love the concept of this brewer. However, I am now waiting on my third replacement in 2.5 years. Both units I have had previously all short brewed me (did not put enough water for the cup size chosen). The first replacement was a nightmare and took forever to get. They kept telling me they did not have the brewer in stock at the factory. However, for my troubles I did get four boxes of K-Cups free. Now my second brewer has done the exact same thing. We are not waiting on it. We will be purchasing the new Cuisinart brewer very soon. Hopefully it will be much better!
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Pump problems
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AS a past manager of both a Caribou and a Starbucks and a Coffee Master for Starbucks I found that this is by far the best brewing system out there! get over the pump issue and enjoy the machine!! it is delicate but I worked with 25k machines that broke down too. face it if it's go moving parts something wil go wrong sometime. so don't be a hater. (if you can hear the pump and the water level isnt going down you'll burn up the pump. there is air trapped in it. remove and reinstall the water tank.) I nursed a defective one along waiting for the backorder to clear to get one with a new pump. Found that it shuts off to protect the heat element and pump. verify the water intake is happening and it works everytime. will say the new one is quieter and works awesome!! I love this thing!! Taste profile is an exact match to the coffee brewed in a full size commercial grade Fetco brew system for the Caribou store. and it has been very affordable and super easy to use.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings
Cons: Pump issues w 1st models

Quality Suffers on these machines

My 4th replacement since Feb 2010. The reliability problems are so common, Keurig should write a personal letter of explanation to each buyer.Customer service is very sympathetic, but when they have a product that just can't deliver reliability, they have their hands tied. I feel sorry for them. My old, office machines run year after year, but the newest are very, very bad. I am so disappointed. I love the coffee.

Cons: Fails to work, Less than 1 yr life cycle, Not Reliable, Fragile

I don't understand the negative reviews of this product. I've had this model for 3 years and have NEVER had a problem with the brewer. I use it every day and never turn it off. I have had occasional problems with the k-cups, but never with the brewer. I drink a lot of coffee and enjoy having a cup of flavored without having to make an entire pot. It's also great when friends are over and everyone can make their own flavor and strength selection. Some like it stronger than others and this model has plenty of cup size selections. I couldn't be happier - perfect one-cup brewer.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Stylish, Easy to use, Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

Love the coffee maker

I love the machine. I received it as a gift for x-mas in 2009. A couple of weeks ago it started not brewing a full cup of coffee. [...]I de-scaled it 3 times. I only use bottle water. They sent me a new one with 2 boxes of coffee free. After reading all the reviews, it looks like it will probably happen again. [...]I love the iced tea.

Do Not Recommend!

I received this brewer in December 2009 and have replaced it 3 times. The 1st brewer just stopped working and would not turn back on after descaling it. The second one would shut off in the middle of a brew cycle and brew partial cups. The third will only brew partial cups and the brew button has to be pressed more than once. I have a $30 brewer that has never given me problems like this one. I have asked for a full refund, but since I bought the first one from QVC, Keurig cannot give me one. Will not purchase Keurig products again!
Cons: Unreliable, HARD TO CLEAN, Bad Quality
