Even the kids love it~

We bought this for the entire family to use...even the kids. Since my husband is the only coffee drinker in the family, the majority of use use the k-cups that contain sugar and therefore need to run water after brewing a k-cup. Which is fine. I usually brew a 4 oz cup of water to clean it out. I think this is the one and only feature that I liked better on the Cuisinart brewer is that it has a cleaning feature. Because I have to brew a 4 oz cup of water almost every time, we have to fill up the water reservoir more often than most. Other than that we absolutely love it. Being a tea drinker, I'm finally not waiting for a tea kettle in the morning. And every tea k-cup that I've tried so far is the perfect strength!! Not to mention Ramen noodles....and oatmeal. I keep a box of them in the pantry for the kids for after school snacks. I could go on and on.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

Unbelievable coffee system

My keurig is used daily from coffee & tea to hot water for oatmeal. I usually only drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day but will also drink tea. I like not wasting a pot of coffee like i used to. It's easy enough that even my 7yo can use it. I can't imagine being without it. My Keurig actually stopped working and the customer service I received was fantastic. Very considerate and caring. Very helpful! I will be receiving a new Keurig because my current one stopped working and between me and customer service it still wouldn't work. So Keurig is sending me a new one. Now how do you like that!! Don't hear or see that every day. I LOVE KEURIG!!

Great gift for a person with everything

I am ordinarily a tea drinker who likes a cappuccino every now and then. But after I received this wonderful gift from my family, not only do I like to experiment with the different coffees, I absolutely love the teas, hot cocoa and iced teas. Absolutely marvelous. I've also figured out a solution to the hot water situation when adding milk. Heat up the milk in the mug for a few seconds in the microwave before placing it on the tray for brewing. Results, a really hot cup of coffee or tea. Voila.

BEST OF THE BEST

Our household are coffee drinkers= we usually wind up purchasing a coffee pot per year-looking for a caraft that would keep the cofee fresh and hot= insulated pots never seemed to work,every new model of different brands would always brag to be the best. Once I had heard about the keurig- I was afraid to spent the money to be dissapointed once again. Boy was I wrong.No more cold coffee, no more reheating old coffee.no more throwing out coffee. Best money ever spent

Constant problems with machine

I have gone through 2 of these machines and after 6 mo they both start short filling. Customer service was great on replacing them. But this is my last try. the machine starts short filling the cups and then it completely stopped work. I followed at the clean suggestions and none of the seem to work. I am pretty tired of having to switch them out. while the machine works, it extremely convient.
Pros: Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lasts About a Year

I am on my third machine and this time I am only using bottled water. After two months, it appears that this may be the way to go. I recently started using distilled water and the taste hasn't changed, so from now on I will only be using distilled.

So Convenient

I am the only coffee drinker in the house, so Keurig is my savior. I can make only 1 cup for myself and not waste all the other coffee. My 3 yr old son loves making me a cup on the weekends. The only downfall I have is that I wish the machine could make my coffee hotter. I love an extra hot cup. Overall I would definitely recommend the Keurig Platinum coffee maker.

Garbage!!!

We love our coffee. Our old coffee maker flamed out after 10 yrs. of daily use. We didn't want another drip-type carafe coffee maker replacement, so we opted for this model and used it with the same frequency as its predecessor. It lasted 2 months before the ONLY mechanical part of this maker failed. That would be the PUMP!! That's a cup in the morning and MAYBE a cup at night. We took it back to [...] and replaced it with the same model, thinking maybe it was just a defective PUMP. The replacement lasted for 10 days and it too, failed! Switching the machine off when not using for extended periods of time is the guideline for this machine which was followed during our absence in the month of Dec 2010, and the same was true with the replacement machine for 2 weeks in Jan 2011. That obviously didn't make any difference towards the life of the maker. Also, the power switch is located inconveniently on the back of the unit. It was easier to just unplug it, specifically when the unit is placed on the counter between other appliances. We wouldn't recommend this maker until an improved pump is supplied. ALL of our common brand name coffee cups require a double fill operation. That is, the maker wouldn't fill the cup completely with one operation so we defaulted the first fill at the second to the largest fill setting, and then in order to finish the fill and using the same K-Cup, we would set the fill manually at the smallest setting. A minor nuisance, but that gave us the strength and flavor that best suited our taste. We really liked the convenience of this maker, but it's obviously not really capable of normal consumer use. Had we not had to perform a "double fill" operation with this maker, it's quite possible this maker would have lasted about 4 months instead of 2, based on the demand of the weakest mechanical function in this maker, the PUMP!. We were still adjusting/experimenting with the K-Cup variations of coffees when # 1 died, and we must say we weren't disappointed with any of them. Sorry Keurig, a great idea, but a bit too soon to put this product on the shelves or any of them if they share the same mechanical components, (pretty sure they do). Like to have that after dinner coffee when the family comes to visit? I don't think this maker can handle the challenge. It's not a question of WILL IT FAIL? It's WHEN......?In conclusion, simply save yourselves the frustration, it's not worth it.
Pros: NOW Coffee, Easy to use, Less than a min ready, K-Cups variety, No messy grounds
Cons: Weak Pump, Power Switch location, Unreliable Pump, Realtime cup sizes, Limited Cup Sizes
